"You know I'm not really the type to come to parties like this. Jackson just dragged me here and I decided to be the good friendand come along," Jameer added shrugging his shoulders.
"Well I'm glad he did," Aaliyah responded. She looked at Trevor walking away and then back at Jameer."Umm... not to be weird or anything but could you just stay over here with me tonight so he doesn't come back? You don't have to if you don't want to because I know you probably have something better to do or so-"
"I gotchu ma no problem," he said laughing. So for the rest of the night they chilled. At first they danced then they sat on the steps talking and observing everyone else at the party twerking, bumping, grinding, and doing all types of dances. Towards the end of the party, Sabrina came over to the two and told Aaliyah that she was ready to go.
"Umm I'm sorry to interrupt the lil time you having with yo boo, but my feet killing me and these dudes wack so I'm ready to go Li..."
"He not my boo. Just my friend no offense Jameer, she said looking at him. "Let's go girl."
They got up and headed towards the car while Trevor stumbled behind them half drunk.
"A-A-Aaliyah... Girrrrrllll I was looking fa-fa my wifey. Ionn see ya mannss anyywhere so come make b-big daddy feeeelll good."
"Trevor, I really don't feel like dealing with you right now. Plus, ion even wanna go there with you on any day so what makes you think I want to now?"
Jameer was staring out the door at Trevor making a fool out of himself. So, he went over to Jackson, who was getting twerked on by some random female. "Aye Jack, you can get 'Renzo to drop you off at home? I gotta give somebody else a ride home."
"Yea I got you my guy, be breezy bruh."
And with those words, Jameer went outside to where Aaliyah, Sabrina, and Trevor were standing. "Liyah!! Cmon, imma drive you home." At first, Sabrina gave a puzzled look at Aaliyah who was giving the same look to her, but she eventually said," iight imma be at the car in a sec."
She then leaned over and whispered into Sabrina's ear. "Imma just text you when I can girl. And no he ain't my boyfriend."
" iight girl, gone head let captain save-a-hoe save you." Then, Aaliyah went over to Jameer, grabbed his hand, and they walked to the car. Trevor, looking displeased, mumbled some words under his breath. "Bitch ass nigga, think he slick."
"Aye, i'm starting to think you my guardian angle or sum shit 'Meer," she said Jokingly smirking a bit.
"I guess you can call me that. And don't worry, I'm not trying to kidnap you or anything. I ain't one of those crazy killer people," he said as they got to the car and he unlocked the door as they got in.
"Oh the thought never crossed my mind.. I live not far away from here actually." She gave him the directions and they started on their way to her house.
"So 'Liyah, cool if I call you that? cool. But forreal, where's your real boyfriend ma?"
"Boy, if I did have a boyfriend, my mama and my daddy would kill me in 2.5 seconds."
"Ohhhhh so you one of those 'I do everything my mama and daddy say' type of people?" he said laughing.
"No but you know.. I've been looking but these dudes at GHS ain't shit so I might as well not even waste my time to be honest."
"So you saying I'm not shit either?"
"Nooooo not like that. I.. umm.. I don't know 'Meer. Why don't you have a girlfriend of your own?"
"Cause this girl I know from my AP Calc class and that's in my car right now don't recognize a real nigga when she see one," he said looking over at her as the pulled up at her house.
"You know, we've only known eachother for a small amount of time Jameer," she responded looking at him.
"Romeo and Juliet knew eachother for seconds, literally. They had feelings for eachother."
"They also killed themselves..."
"You focus on the wrong things girl," he laughed and said," I'll see you at school."
"You not gonna give me your number?"
"OHHHH so you DO want my number? I knew there was some type of hope." Jameer gave her his number and vice versa then Aaliyah waved him bye and went in the house. Her feelings for him were starting to change fast. At first she didn't find him attractive and now she was developing a small crush on him. But, will she go against her parents and date him?
