Chapter 6: Schemin' (Part 1)

        While she was walking out the the car, Aaliyah was stopped by Jameer. "Aye 'Liyah can I talk to you for a second?"

"Yeah sure wassup boo?"

"Umm... well i was wondering..."

"Wondering what?..." she said chuckling

"Umm... could you help me on my calc homework tonight? I was kind of slumped in class today and didn't really understand what she was saying."

The small smile on Aaliyah's face went down as she looked down. "Yeah sure just call me and I got you." She got in her car waving at Jameer and drove over Ashley's house. "What yo man say to you Li-Li?" "He's not my man Ashley.. and he just asked for help on his homework..."

Of course, that's not what Jameer actually wanted to say. He really wanted to ask if they could chill so that Jameer could help her see the world through his eyes. He never really had difficulty talking to girls like this so it was rather surprising for him. He told himself that he would ask her tonight while they were working on homework.

After dropping Sabrina off, Aaliyah drove home and chilled until Jameer eventually called her. For the first few minutes they talked about their homework and Jameer played dumb so that i would seem like he actually did need help. Then when they were done, he let her know what he really wanted to say to her.

"Aye 'Liyah.. I gotta tell you something"

"Go ahead I'm all ears"

"I actually wanted to ask you something else earlier... I wanted to see if you wanted to hang out with me tomorrow. No sex or nothing just a friendly thing ya know?"

"I'd love to 'Meer. but the way my parents are-"

"Girl will you ever get from under your parents' wings?.. Just tell them you'll be with Ashley and I'll pick you up from ya house after school tomorrow. Bye 'Liyah poo" He said making kissey noises and hanging up.

Aaliyah was always the "good girl" and wouldn't even think of going against her parents but Jameer was making her change. A change for the better or a change for worse? Who knows. Either way it goes it was happening.

The next day, the both of them bumped into eachother in Calculus class. After exchanging subtle heys, they went to their seats and started doing their work. While Jameer was doing his work, Alicia came over to him and put her hand on his shoulder looking at him. "Long time no talk 'Meer. Seems like forever since we last talked,"she said. 

"Well you did cheat on my ass some months ago. That's part of the reason. Plus, you tried to get with my whole squad after me so be gone."

Out of nowhere, she looked over at Aaliyah and said," AWW IS THAT RIGHT? YOU MISS ME TOO BABY?' in a loud enough tone so that Aaliyah and the whole classroom could hear her. Aaliyah looked over at them with pure disgust then got up and went over to them. "Really Jameer? You tell me that you a real nigga and you was gonna show me the ropes and how you were going to take me out today but all along you was still messing with yo ex? How dumb do you think I am?'

"Aaliyah I wasn;t eve-" 

"I don't even want to hear it Jameer. Don't talk to me no more. Don't call me, text me, or try to get at me with yo trifilin ass.' After that she got her things and stormed out the classroom. Aaliyah was furious. She purely hated Jameer at this point and didn't want anything to do with him. Standing at the end of the hallway was Trevor watching Aaliyah storm down the hallway. On his face was a big smile. He knew exactly what he had done.
