Laxus X Natsumi

chapter one

No POV

   It was a normal, peaceful day in Magnolia. The sun was gently out, hidden by white puffy clouds. The citizens of the town was going about their day. Either shopping for food for the day or hanging out with friends. That is until a very enraged girl goes up a building.
   "Argh! I can't believe the nerve of that guy!!" Yelled a very enraged pinkette. She stormed inside the building and went to sit at her usual table surrounded by her friends.
   "What happen that made you so upset, Natsumi?" A blond women of the same age as the pinkette asked her out of worry.
   "I can't believe my boyfriend, the love of my life, cheated on me for some flat cheated bimbo!! I swear this is the last time I give him another chance. I wish there's someone out there for me that loves me for me. You know what I mean Lucy?" The pinkette, now named Natsumi, said dejectedly.
   "I'm sure there is someone out there that's for you only, Natsumi. As for that douchebag of a boyfriend, you were way out of he league. I mean come on, you were ranked #1 on the most beautiful women on Sorcerer Weekly. Who would give up the chance to date you? Only stupid and moronic men that's who." Lucy said as more of Natsumi friends gather out the depress fire dragon slayer.
   Unbeknownst to them, a certain blonde dragon slayer overheard and saw everything that had transpired just now. Sure, he always had feelings towards the fire mage, but he long since gave up on any romantic relations with her and was contend on watching out for her, but after hearing what had happened just now, he wanted blood.
   Not any blood, but the blood of the man who broke the pinkette heart. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the said girl crying her heart out on her best friend shoulder, while Lucy was rubbing her back and hugging her to her person.
   At that moment, the man saw red. He tried to growl softly so no one saw his anger. The keyword tried.
   "Laxus-sama, are you alright?" A certain greenette asked him. The man, now named Laxus, looked at the man who asked about his wellbeing.
    "No, I'm not Freed. I just can't believe a man would do that to her. She deserves better." He explained angrily. The man named Freed nodded in understanding.
   He was told by Laxus about his feeling and desires for Natsumi a while back and could see why he was mad.
   "I wish I could help her, but I don't think she would let me to be completely honest." Laxus said a little dejectedly. Laxus was never one to show emotions out front, so when he saw Natsumi crying and in need of comfort he shows a little bit of his emotions.
   "I better be leaving Freed. I'll see you later." Laxus said while getting up. Freed looked at his team team leader in worry. Laxus looks like he normally, but if you knew him like Freed does, you would see a hint of sadness in his features and his eyes.
   "I'll see you later, Laxus-sama." Freed waved good-bye to his team leader. Laxus waved good-bye at Freed while going down the stairs. Everyone who notice him leaving said their good-bye to him as well. When he reached the doors there was a man who was out of breathe. He was 5'6 tall with brown hair and dark red eyes.(my oc. off the top of my head. Didn't put much thought to it) He was dressed in a simple outfit of plain a t-shirt and jeans of no specific brand.
   He was looking around the guild as if looking for a certain person. Laxus was looking at him when he marched up to Natsumi.
   "Natsumi, can I speak to you for a moment please?" He asked quietly to her.
   "No." She said very angrily. You can see the tears in her eyes when she looked at him in hurt and betrayal.
   'Oh, so this is the guy who hurt Natsumi, and broke her heart.' Laxus thought to himself. He didn't move from the doorway, and continue looking at the situation to see if it escalates any further. If it does, Laxus will have to subdue the man by force, and I think everyone else will too since they ate giving him a cold stare.
   The man in question was oblivious to the stares he was receiving and continue to look at Natsumi. He kept asking her to go with him to talk alone, and she kept refusing to go, with tears going down her face.
   When the man grabbed her wrist, forcefully pulling at her to follow him, that's when Laxus snapped. So did the rest of the guild. Even Makarov was anger by the treatment she was getting by him. No one can treat her like that.
   She was the heart of the guild. The light of everyone. She was the one who helps people first than herself after. When she is upset, everyone can feel it. Her pain is ours as well, so when he grabbed her like that, Laxus did what mind told him to do. To protect her from harm.
   Laxus body moved on its own accord, so when the man tried leaving the guild with a struggling Natsumi, Laxus went up to him and pinched him in the gut. The man doubled over in pain and everyone in the guild looked at him in shock, even Natsumi. When they looked at his face, they all felt a twinge of fear in their bodies. He looked like a enraged god that came to Earthland.
   "Never treat her like that again, you bastard. She deserve better that a weakling like you, who manhandles a woman and demands them to go with without a choice." Laxus voice went deep with rage and everyone saw it. He sounded like he want to hurt him real bad but held himself back. The man got back up after hearing what Laxus said to him.
   The man attacked Laxu, and tried to hit him but failed every time. The next punch Laxus threw was at the man face, and it knocked him out for the day. Everyone in the guild cheered for Laxus, even Makarov, for defending Natsumi. Natsumi herself went up to Laxus and gave him a hug with her usual smile. Her hug said thank you but her eyes said something else. It held a unknown emotion and it intrigued him. So instead of questioning her eyes, he gave a hug back and said that if that asshole comes back again and bothers you, let him know and he'll deal with it. She nodded at his statement and went back to her table and friends. He left the guild after that. The man who was knocked out was sent to the hospital and the guild went on with their day.
