I sat impatiently downstairs at Emmy's kitchen counter. I knew she would look gorgeous, I just wished it didn't take so long.

My head fell into my hand which was supported by my elbow resting on the glossy, marble counter top.

I bit my lip, looking around the kitchen.

There were three white, hanging lights, just above the counter I was sitting at, the rest were in the ceiling.
The base color was a creamy white with accents of grey on the fridge, stove, and counter tops.

Emmy had nicely arranged flowers and bowls of fruit scattered around.
The floor was wooden with a slight gloss over it. Emmy had laid a carpet down as well.

Just as I had gotten up to grab an orange, Emmy walked down the stairs. The kitchen lighting made her look like an angel.

"Damn girl," I mumbled, playfully looking her up and down before walking over to her.

She already had her keys in hand when she asked, "Ready?"

I nodded, opening the door for her. "Ready as I'll ever be."

Emmy and I had sat down at a booth in the Starbucks. It looks like Ellen had the same plan as us.

I watched as she walked through the door, the little bell dingling. Ellen didn't seem to notice Emmy and I, so I waved my hand.

This caught her attention. "(Y/n), Emmy! Hey, guys!" She greeted politely.

"Hey, Ellen," I smiled. "Come sit with us after you grab your coffee?"

She nodded, heading to the front. I turned to face Emmy again.

"What do you plan on doing at Chuck E Cheese?" I tried to make some conversation.

Emmy shrugged, "Well, I really want to hang out with Tom again, he's sweet."

I couldn't help but wiggle my eyebrows. "Sounds like you have a crush." I took a sip of my drink.

Emmy rolled her eyes with a smile, "I do not."

"Do to."

"Do not."

"Do to."

"Do not."

"Do to."

Ellen sat next to Emmy, chuckling at our childish argument.

"Do what?" Ellen asked after Emmy and I had gone silent.

"Emmy likes Tom," I said before Emmy could get anything out.

Emmy hesitated, "Okay, maybe I have a little crush, but nothing more."

Ellen chuckled.

"What do you guys think about him?" Emmy asked, curious about our opinions.

"He's a cool guy," Was all Ellen had said.
