"Everyone please take your seats! Order!" Hydrogen shouts at the rest of the elements.

The elements sit in their assigned spots. When Hydrogen founded this place, he made a few adjustments to Dmitri's original organization of the Periodic Table, finding that his organization method made much more sense. The elements are organized according to different properties, one of them being whether the elements are Metals, Nonmetals, or Metalloids.

Due to the fact that all the elements sit in the same place every day, some of them find it unfair. Unununium, is one of these elements.

"Why do I always have to sit so far back?" he complains. "I think I should get a chance to sit in the front for once!"

Hydrogen crosses his arms and says, "You know very well why you have to sit in the same spot every day. Please tell me that reason yourself."

"The Periodic Law," Unununium mumbles, rolling his eyes.

"And what does the Periodic Law say?"

Unununium sighs. "It says that when elements are arranged in order of increasing atomic number, the chemical and physical properties repeat."

"That's right," Hydrogen says. "And that's why you have to always stay in the same seat. It helps us determine who to send on each mission."

With another eye roll, Unununium walks to his seat near the back.

As the elements settle down, it is apparent that one seat is empty, the seat between Oxygen and Neon.

Hydrogen stands before the assembly of elements and speaks. "As some of you may be aware, one of the elements is not here with us today. I had a feeling this would happen eventually, but I didn't expect it so soon. Fluorine has become negatively charged."

The room erupts into gasps of shock. How could this have happened?

Hydrogen continues, "I am going to select a few of you to form a team to stop Fluorine before he causes any harm. If I say your name, please come join me up front. From Group 1, the group that doesn't occur freely in nature and can explode when exposed to water, the Alkali Metals, I need Sodium and Cesium. From Group 2, the group that is also not found freely in nature and is very reactive, the Alkaline Earth Metals, I need Radium and Magnesium. From Group 17, the toxic element group, Halogens, I need Chlorine. Finally, from Group 18, the odorless, colorless group with low chemical reactivity, the Noble Gases, I need Helium and Neon." The seven elements make their way up to the front as the rest of the crowd claps for them.
