The Story of Us

I stood outsided of the van waiting for the boys to finish up. I felt my phone vibrating in my backpocket, it was a text from Karla: 

'Jays cheating on me!'

'What?!'

'I know he went out to breakfast with some girl he claims is his sister'

'are you sure it wasnt his sister?'

'no he wont tell me who it was he keeps saying it was his sister'

'i dont know ill ask nathan'

'hows nathan?'

'were not really talkiing my ex bf pretended we were still dating'

'you mean jacob?'

'yeah :('

'that bitch'

'i know right' I felt a tap on the shoulder, "Who you texting?" Tom was standing behind me and I realized I was blocking the van door. "Oh no one, I'll get out of your way." I stepped off to the side to let him in, "It's ok, you go first." I opened the door and slid in to the seat. Tom and Max (Tomax refrence) and Jay siva nad Nathan sat across from us. The ride was silent and I sang in my head.

I used to think one day we'd tell the story of us,

How we met and the sparks flew instantly,

People would say, "They're the lucky ones."

I used to know my place was a spot next to you,

Now I'm searching the room for an empty seat,

'Cause lately I don't even know what page you're on.

Oh, a simple complication,

Miscommunications lead to fall-out.

Now I'm standing alone in a crowded room and we're not speaking,

I suddenly noticed Nathan singing Warzone softly:

I can't belive I had to see, the girl of my dreams cheating on me. The pain you caused has left me dead inside, I'm gonna make sure you regret that night.

I stopped sinign The Story of Us and started singing Last to Know as Nathan switched to Say it on The Radio:

I see you walk away walk away So why you looking back at me like that?

Words travel fast, so you spend all your time in your head. Whats the point in that?

If youre not messing with, messing with me then why you go on and kiss me like that, like that?

Whats the point in that? Cause words never last, what you say now is not what you said, and I'm ok with that

If I cant have you why wont you let me go? If you dont want me, say it on the radio

You're keeping yourself tied up so you don't let me down, didn't you ever think just maybe,

I heard Jay mumbling the song why can't we be friends and I shot him dagggers, Nathan must've noticed because he started signing Dagger:

 I switched to That's the Way I Loved You:

He is sensible and so incredible, and all my single friends are jealous, He says everything I need to hear and it's like I couldn't ask for anything better, he opens up my door and I get into his car and he says 'you look beautiful tonight' and I feel perfectly fine.

"Stop the van." Nathan suddenly got serious.

"What?" The driver looked confused.

"I said stop the van." The driver pulled over to the curb and Nathan jumped out of the car.
