Chapter 9 ♥

"What a pleasant suprise," Abby said to me, smiling widely at me. "What are you doing here?" I asked codly, trying to act tough. "You didn't hear? Me and Cameron are dating now! Isn't it great?" She giggled, still smiling fakely at me. A few more tears welled up in my eyes, as I quickly wiped them away. "Something you needed to tell Cameron? I'll pass on the message, he is in the shower right now." She said while winking at me, making me put my hands into the pockets of my hoodie. "Just tell him I stopped by..." I said while turning away and walking slowly to my car. "Bye, Emily. It was wonderful seeing you, stop by any time. I'll always be here," She said while laughing and shutting the door behind her. I quickly unlocked my truck and hopped inside, bursting into tears again. I didn't even know why I was upset by the fact that they were dating. I don't have feelings for Cameron, so why was I so upset?

13 missed calls, 30 text messages, and 1 broken heart, all on the same day. Cameron kept calling and texting me and I just wasn't in the mood. I was defeated by Abby, and I was just broken inside. It's not the fact that she's dating Cameron, but the fact that she is always one step ahead of me. I needed someboody to talk to and she ruined it. "Emily, get down here right now!" My dad called out, making me quickly run down stairs. "Yes sir?" I asked, turning the corner and seeing Cameron standing in the doorway. I turned around and started to walk back upstairs when my dad grabbed me by my wrist, slinging me back. He kept squeezing it harder as I felt to the ground in pain. "Please, it hurts, stop!" I pleaded out, shedding a few tears. "You've been a very bad girl, Emily! You've disobeyed me and I'm tired of it!" He slurred out, as Cameron walked over to him and tackled him onto the ground. I crawled away and sat in the corner, holding my wrist in pain. I closed my eyes, as everything around me faded out, and everything went completely went completely dark.
