--Donghyuck--

Around a week later and not much has changed. Mark and I had both decided we would forget everything that happened, but that was surprisingly hard for me.
"So, good news" Jisung spoke, sitting next to me with a bright smile. "And that is?" I asked and he chuckled. "Seulgi is getting expelled and Chenle and I are meeting again next Saturday" he said, cleary excited about his date on Saturday. "Wait...Seulgi is getting expelled?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "Haven't you heard?" He looked at me and I shook my head "she was smoking along with some guys, they got expelled too, it's a pretty hot topic along some people here". I simply stared at him as he looked at me somewhat awkwardly. "What?" He said as I then smiled. "She got expelled??" I basically yelled, way too excited "this is one of the best days yet" I said after and he chuckled. "Well, it will get better, right about now"

"Hey, Hyuck"

I turned when hearing my name being mentioned as I soon saw Mark coming up to me. He smiled and I couldn't help but give him a slight smile in return. As he sat down, Jisung stood up, making both of us look at him. "I'm just going to the restroom" he said, swinging his bag over his shoulder and walking off. Of course any person knew he wasn't going to come back. Mark and I chuckled, finding the whole scene extremely obvious.

"Well," I started, looking at Mark "why are you here?". He sighed, as if he didn't know what to say, he pulled up his shoulders. "Don't know, I guess I wanted to" he answered, looking at me as I soon returned his gaze. "If you don't mind me being here at least" he started but I simply shook my head. "No, I actually don't mind at all" I said, smiling slightly after. He smiled too. Even if I didn't notice anything now, other people must've taken notice. The way he looked at me was something special, but I didn't know that...yet.

=====

The following days were spent with Mark and I hanging out and today was no different to that either.
We were seated in my room, Mark slightly spinning on my desk chair as I decided to look for a new movie to watch. As Mark flipped through some notes and books I had on my desk, he opened one of them. I didn't look up, thinking it wouldn't be anything besides school work. Then suddenly he asked me.

"You don't like your dad?" I looked at him, a little taken back by what he asked, as I soon noticed what notes he had grabbed. "Well, I-I don't dislike him, he's just--" I started, unable to finish as Mark simply looked at me, calmly. "He-he has something against...you know...a boy with a boy and a girl with a girl, that stuff" I said and Mark nodded at me.
"And, you want your revenge?" He asked and I pulled up my shoulders. "Just like Wendy and I" he spoke again "with the school play that day". I couldn't bring out a word so I nodded. Mark chuckled.

"I can help you and your friend, Jisung, right?" He asked me again and I now looked up. He smiled, this time sweet. "You don't have to help me, I was planning on stopping after that school play--"

"I would like to help you" Mark interrupted, now going to me and sitting next to me on my bed. "The real question is, who first?" He asked and gave me my notes. The list of names remaining the same. Wendy and Seulgi's names had been crossed, since their reputation was now far gone. A few others still remained, I scanned through them and looked at Mark. "Joy" I said. Remembering oh so well about this one day.

She had joked and laughed about me since the beginning of the year. She threw coffee on me, spat on me even. She absolutely hated me. Just like Wendy and Seulgi did, just like most people did. But after Seulgi and her "scandal" she wasn't a problem and I had gotten Wendy already, so she wasn't a problem to me either.

Mark nodded at me. "So what do you want to do?" He asked me and we both started planning.

=====

We ended up laughing together, thinking of many possibilities we had and secretly living our dream.
That day made me realize how close we actually were, laughing and hanging onto each other. A few looks and touches were shared.

Maybe the truth is closer than I would've thought.
