Kainel shot another arrow

Kainel shot another arrow. Bullseye. It was expected, of course, it was what he was best at. He pulled another arrow from the quiver. He shot it at the target. Bullseye again.

Kainel walked slowly to the target and pulled the two arrows out. While he hung the bow on the wall his mind got occupied by other thoughts. The young woman he'd seen yesterday, who cried over a dead boy in her lap. Ellie told him it was the woman's brother.

Ellie had commanded Kainel and Cann to chase after Void, but they found no sign of him.

"Kainel. Would you come here?" it was Ellie's voice. Kainel turned around and saw her curly, brown hair shimmering in the soft sunlight from above.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a second."

Kainel turned around and followed after Ellie. In the entrance to the non-training rooms stood a familiar figure. It was the young woman from yesterday.

Kainel ran his muscular hand through his fairly tidy, dark brown hair which he had cut rather short. He straightened his back a little and bit his teeth down, feeling awkward. He felt uncomfortable around other people, even this young woman who was probably two or three years younger than him.

The young woman didn't look as distraught as the day her brother died, but she still had a sombre expression on her face. She also looked tired, like she hadn't slept all night. They were still on the opposite side of the training hall, so Kainel asked Ellie:

"Hey, Ellie. What's that girl's name?"

"Lorca," Ellie answered.

"That's a fairly strange name. Is she feeling better than yesterday?"

"Yeah, I think so," Ellie said in a more happy voice. She was a very happy person, and Kainel admired that about her. Kainel himself didn't like people too much. He had been raised as a hunter since he was five and most hunters weren't very sociable people.

Most stealthy hunters would use daggers, knives or small swords while others cared more about pure strength. These people would use weapons like broadswords or other large swords and often infused them with elemental stones.

However, Kainel's weapon choice was very unconventional as his weapon of choice was a bow and arrow which he would infuse with poison or fire arrows to make more effective.

Kainel and Ellie eventually walked across the large hall and arrived at the entrance of the non-training rooms. God, we need a better name for that, Kainel thought.

He and Ellie stopped in front of the young woman named Lorca and Ellie began talking. While she was talking, he gave Lorca a weird smile. He felt like an idiot.

"Hey, Lorca. This is Kainel. Kainel, this is Lorca."

They both shook hands and said "Hello" awkwardly. There was an uncomfortable silence and Ellie finally broke the silence by bursting into laughter.
