Our History

"I want my questions answered," I say sitting on the couch. He sighs and sits down beside me.

"Alright."

Y/N's POV

"Ask away and I will answer to the best of my ability," Jimin said and I think for a second. What do I really want to know?

"A-are you really a prince?" I ask and he laughs.

"Out of all the questions, I thought you would ask, but.... yes I am a prince but not like of a country." He says

"The who do you rule?" I ask

"I rule a type of people who are cursed like I am."

"Cursed?" I ask and he nods his head. "By what?"

"By the mark of course. My people we kind of live in fear," He stated a little sadly.

"Of what?"

"Of our first kiss."

"Why?"

"Well, the first person we kiss we are forever bound to them. We mark them with our kiss and in return, we both can't escape a bond that kind of forces us to have feelings for each other until we do it naturally. The bond is extremely strong for the person who has the more dominant mark. It's why it's so hard for me to stay away from you. It actually physically hurts me to stay away from you for too long. Weekends are actually a mess because it becomes more unbearable as our bond gets stronger in the sense that it's not the mark that's keeping us attached to each other."

"Why didn't you like marking on me at first?" I asked more for my emotional being rather than my curious one.

"Don't get me wrong Y/N your an amazing girl I just wouldn't have wished a mark on anyone especially in the way I marked with you and on top of that my place as a prince makes it more awful." Jimin sighs.

"How so?"

"Like your biological mother? (I nodded confirming that was okay to say) Well like she said her best friend died with being queen. My mother died being queen." Jimin said sadly

"Oh Jimin I'm so sorry. You don't have to talk about if you don't want to."

"No, it's fine. You need to know this. My parents loved each other a lot. They loved each other before they even marked each other. Both were Markers so they knew how their kiss worked and planned it perfectly. If you are a Marker or a married Marked-ee (You have no idea how long it took to find that word. I wanted to make sure I spelled it the same way but I forgot how I spelled it the first time), which is what you are minus the married part, you will have the ability to see the first kiss of others. My parents are one of the few that planned it doing it right at sunset. Anyway, we all thought because weren't cruel rulers we were safe going out in public alone doing normal people stuff. But apparently, royalty is the same no matter who you rule. A group of our own kind found a way to deny the kings command and decided to attack on my mothers birthday. My mother didn't make it out alive and a few others were left injured. After that day my brothers and I made a deal with our father. None of us had wanted the throne after that as we didn't want to lose our marked-ee the same way, and only the current king can decide who gets it, so we told our father if we could graduate Bighit without our first kiss we wouldn't have to take over the throne and become king."

"But that didn't happen," I say and Jimin shakes his head sadly

"You running into me was both the best and worst thing that could happen in my life. It's not only the responsibility of being the king I am taking over from my father but the company he owns and the stress and fear of losing you the same way I lost my mother. I-I also have never wanted the company. My brothers and I wanted to become an Idol group with each other. We already have a company that wants to debut us as soon as we got permission from my father."
