Chapter 9: Vampires Too

WOOSH! Is all I hear as I soar above the earth at like 250 mph. I had to go on I fly this morning because my wings were itching to be stretched across the sky.
"Hum I'd better turn around.
It's almost 6:40." I said looking at my phone. "Humph!" I sigh when I hit the ground with my feet.
I had been flying for like an hour so no one else was up, so I went into the kitchen and looked for breakfast. Shuffle, I turn around to see Max. " Good morning babe." he says leaning in for a little kiss. " Ewwww!" I here someone say as I turn around to see Zach.
"Oh shut up. You would kiss your girlfriend that you have been living with since you were like 12." Max said I reply.
"Chill you two. Max sweetie why don't you find something to fix for breakfast. And Zach go wake up your 'brother'. And I will wake Rose up." I say.
"Okay sweetheart what ever you say." Max says as a smile comes across my face.
"Ugh what ever !" Zach says boredly.

I turn and fly up stairs and go to Roses room.
"Come on sweetie it's time to get up." I say calmly walking into her room.
"Oh ok." she replies in a small sweet voice.
"Hey sweetie. How'd you sleep last night?" I ask when I see her small head pop out from under the covers.

Maxes P.o.v
Man I love love love Sage but she can be feisty. I think that's from being abandoned by her parents as a baby. Hey I'm not saying anything because my parents dropped me off in the middle of a freaking forest fire and said "Your a freak go find others like you!" that's what my father said. But mom said, " I love you so much Maxie and I'm soooo sorry baby. You'r daddy is making me do this."
"Found some bacon and pancake mix." I yell up to Sage.
"Good! I'm going to help Rose get dressed than we'll be down there." Sage replies.
"Okay babe."

"There! Perfect!" I say look down at Rose. She had on this little pink striped shirt and a neon orange and pink tutu and a pair of purple converses.
I had put her hair into this cute crown like braid and clipped a flower in.
"Oh thank you Sage! But were are we going today?" Rose asked in an innocent voice.
"I can't tell you until after breakfast. So let's go." I say back.
"Can you fly me down?"
"Sure sweetie."

Sage p.o.v
"Rose and I are going in to town to get supplies and we will be back after 2." I said as I finished my bacon and pancakes.
" Well do you want me to with you?" Max asks.
"Na it's alright." I say.
"But..." "But nothing! Sweetie I know you just want us to be safe but I can handle it." I said cutting him off.

"Well Rose sweetie why don't you get you some cereal and a little something special? Okay." I say when we walk into Ingles.
"Oooo, okay. Can we get cocoa puffs!" She squealed.

"Next." The check out lady says as we push our buggy up.
"Rose sweet heart hand me the bags." I said as I unlocked the truck door.

"Let's go walk around town for awhile. I'll call Max and tell him we will be a little longer." I say pulling out my phone.

We went to the farmers market and ended up staying for a little music competition that was in the park.
It was like 10 at night when we headed to the truck.
"Whsss. Whsssp." I heard some whispering.
"Rose come here baby." I said. As soon as I said that someone rushed out of the darkness and tried to get Rose.
"Stop!!" I yell flipping out my wings and zoomed towards Rose.

Roses pov
"Sage!!! Help me!!" I cried as the person grabbed me.
I could see Sage but barely because the person was running super fast. VAMPIRE. I thought as I caught sent of them.
The last thing I saw before disappearing in into an ally was Sage whopping the other vampires ass. I may be five but I can cuss.

Back to Sage
"Rose!!" I yell as I round house kick the vampire in the gut.
I found out they were vampires because of Roses thoughts.
"Humph." I heard the offender puff out as the kick made contact.
"What do you want!" I say as I punch him in the face and head to the ally when I make damn sure he's down.
"Rose! Rose!" I yell as tears slowly come to my eyes. I had let her go. My baby, Zach's sister.
"Help." I hear Rose squill in a muffled voice.
"Ugh! Shut up. You're my dinner!" I heard the attacker say to Rose.
"I'm kicked your boyfriends ass and now I'll kick yours!" I yell back as I put my fists up preparing for a fight.
"Alex." I hear the females voice say in a hushed manner.
"Yes Alex is on the ground with his face in his hands. And you will be next if you don't let Rose go!" I say threatening the female.
"Fine!" she yelled zooming past and grabbed Alex off the ground.
"Who are you any way?" I asked as I grabbed Rose and held her tight.
"Why do you need to know?" the girl asked.
"Anastasia chill babe. we attached them so we owe it to them." Alex said in a calm and slithery voice.
" I'm Anastasia and this is Alex. Umm... Umm sorry we attacked you we didn't know you were different, like us."
