Chapter 40

"Jihyunie, darling, time to wake up," Someone was shaking Jihyun's shoulder and he groaned, rolling onto his side but wincing, sitting up immediately.

He opened his eyes and lifted the hospital shirt he was provided and looked at the bullet wound from when he was shot by a police officer when Jaemin pulled him in front of him.

"Are you okay? Does it hurt?" Jihyun poked his wound and winced, and looked up to Namjoon, and nodded.

"Yeah, it hurts, but just a little.." Jihyun laid back down and into his side that was fine.

"Are you sure your okay?" Namjoon asked, walking around the bed to see Jihyun's face.

"If I say 'yes, I'm fine', you would get mad," Jihyun confessed, and Namjoon grew confused.

"Why would I be mad if your fine?"

"Because I would be lying, Namjoon. I was told I would be safe from him after what he did, and they lied to me. He came back and..and tried to take advantage of me again." Jihyun confessed, pulling the thin sheet over his body which was curled up.

"As in..he tried to ra-"

"Yes! He tried to rape me!" Jihyun said quickly, shoving his face into the pillow, hiding from Namjoon.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you think about it, baby," Namjoon sighed and reached for the blanket, gently tugging at it.

"Jihyun, baby, do you wanna cuddle? I know you want to cuddle," Namjoon smirked when Jihyun immediately threw the blanket off and opened his arms.

Namjoon climbed in the small hospital bed and hugged Jihyun tightly to him, this being the first time he's gotten a hug from Jihyun in three weeks.

Namjoon sighed and inhaled Jihyun's freshly washed hair, missing the smell of him.

"I missed this.." Namjoon sighed through his nose, feeling Jihyun cuddling up into him.

"Me too, Joonie, me too." Jihyun sighed and picked up Namjoon's natural scent, relaxing at the smell.

"When are you able to be released?" Namjoon asked quietly, not wanting to disrupt the peace and quiet they had.

"I dunno, I think they said when they run tests today..but that's only if the tests run good," Jihyun whispered, his voice now fragile and soft.

"I know you probably don't want me asking all these questions but when are you testing?" Namjoon asked as he played with Jihyun's neck hair that was growing longer by the day.

A nurse walked in with a a clip board and looked at Jihyun and Namjoon. She smiled softly at the display of affection and made a tapping noise on her clipboard.

"Excuse me boys, but Jihyun here needs to be taken in for testing. If his tests go by well, then we'll just have him sign release papers and he's able to go home, alright?" The nurse smiled and Namjoon groaned playfully.

"But I don't wanna let him goooooooo," Namjoon whined and the nurse and Jihyun giggled.

"I'm sorry sir but I'm afraid you have to, the tests will take twenty to thirty minutes top. Do you think can be patient for that long?" The nurse asked, adjusting her weight onto her left leg and smiled playfully.

"I guesssssss," Namjoon got out of the bed and the nurse attached his IV bag onto a stand and helped Jihyun get out of bed, and Jihyun kissed Namjoon's cheek on the way out.

"Should I wait in the waiting room?" Namjoon asked and the nurse nodded, still helping Jihyun make his way towards the testing room.

Namjoon sighed and walked towards a private waiting room so he wouldn't be noticed by fans wanting to take picture and invade his privacy.
