sooyoung woke up with a painful headache. she sighed in frustration when she realized that she had gotten drunk again, but began to laugh with herself as she loved the taste of the drink.

she still felt extremely numb, but she managed to bring herself up from the bed. yerim? i swear she was with me at the bar. was she?

after a few minutes, joohyun entered the room to find a startled sooyoung. "relax," she said with a laugh, "i think that yerim's downstairs. she probably went to get some hangover soup with you or something."

"aw, really?" sooyoung replied, her heart softening at the thought.

"she still left you though, but i guess she had good intentions."

sooyoung only nodded. she loved the idea of yerim wanting to take care of her and protect her, but leaving her did seem to be too much. it wasn't like she was knocked out cold or anything serious.

"so, soo... i really wanted to ask..." joohyun brought herself to sit next to the latter. she carefully touched the girl's hair and showed it in a way for sooyoung to clearly see. "i don't want to alarm you or anything... but... do you like anyone?"

sooyoung simply sighed. "this is the hair thing, right?"

joohyun nodded, slightly disappointed and confused at the same time.

"i do like someone. i just didn't think it would be this obvious... or this fast."

"it's my sister, isn't it?"

sooyoung nodded. how'd she know? did yerim tell her? or was i showing signs that fast?

"look, i'm fine with you liking her... but she has a girlfriend."

sooyoung instantly screamed a "what?!" and started to feel her heart racing. yerim has a girlfriend??

"yeah. they met each other at the place she's interning at. apparently the girl's her superior and she was being really nice to her... i'm sorry."

"it's fine, don't worry about me," sooyoung assured. how was she going to cope with this now? was her hair with yerim's color just going to disappear if she knows that yerim had someone else?

"look, i didn't mean to ruin your night. i'm really sorry... i just feel like you should know."

"it's fine, really."

"i hope you have a good time. please don't feel awkward whenever you're with her. she really misses you and she's been wanting to meet you ever since you two graduated. i'm just going to go back to the party so.. do you want to come with me?"

"i'm fine. she'll probably come back here anyways.. i'll wait for her here. don't worry about me, unnie." sooyoung forced a smile and watched joohyun leave with a mouthed "goodluck."

as soon as joohyun left, sooyoung found herself wanting to cry. her eyes began to water and her heart suddenly felt unstable. no. you can't cry. you can't ruin the makeup she spent hours putting on you. what if she opens the door while you're crying? you can't cry.

to stop herself from her sudden thoughts, she checked her phone. there were no messages from dohwan, but there were pictures of him with another girl. the captions read "new girl, better than sooyoung." her heart felt at peace as she now knew that her ex-boyfriend was a liar and a jerk. of course, they hadn't officially broken up yet, but it seemed like they already had.

she hadn't even noticed that her expression was deadly and intimidating when yerim had entered the room. "are you okay?"

"oh?" sooyoung said, startled. "yeah, just saw something that bothered me."

"oh... sorry... um... i got you this," yerim said as she casually gave the girl a bowl of hangover soup, "i tried to look for joohyun unnie but she wasn't around.."

really? is that so? or did you just tell her to come in to tell me about your girlfriend because you were too scared to tell me yourself? was i really that obvious?

"so... there's this really nice spot on the roof... no one knows about it... wanna go there? with me..." yerim shyly said, scared that the latter would decline.

without thinking, sooyoung nodded and followed the girl to the roof. it was simple, yet beautiful at the same time. yerim had led them to a corner where the could see the stars and constellations of the night clearly. she had taken the scarf off and placed it on the floor, allowing the both of them to sit.

"i didn't notice that you were wearing a scarf," sooyoung said with an awkward laughed.

"it was nothing... just kind of got cold." yerim said as she tried to think of a good excuse.

sooyoung desperately wanted to ask yerim about her girlfriend, but she didn't have the courage to. how could she even talk to yerim now? now that she knows she has a girlfriend?

joohyun's words kept playing in her mind over and over again. "i'm fine with you liking her... but she has a girlfriend."

kim yerim... what am i supposed to do with you?
