Y/N and Joyce stood side by side, it was the morning after they had found Will's 'body'. Joyce truley believed Will was still out there, so did Y/N, somewhere in her heart she had hope for her best friend. Inside Joyce's house Police ravaged through all of the Buyer's household.

"Is this the wall she was talking about Cheif?" Officer Powell asks.

···

"A trooper found something in the, uh..." Hopper tried to explain. Y/N sat leaned against the living room wall of the Buyer's house trying to keep her composher. Seeing as she already knew what had happened at the quarry, she wasn't really giving Joyce and Hoppers conversation very much thought.

"Water that's at the quarry," He continues.

"Our working theory right now is that Will..." He clears his throat.

"He crashed his bike, he... Made his way over to the quarry and, uh-" It took so much, oh so much willpower for Y/N not to scream at Hopper and tell him he was wrong, so very wrong. How ignorant he was. Y/N stayed silent.

"Will might have acidentally fell in."

"The earth must have given way." Y/N kept her mouth sealed shut, not daring to utter any word or sound.

"Joyce?"

"Joyce?"

"Do you underatand what I'm saying?"

"No," Joyce's voice came out small and croaky.

"Whoever... Whoever you found... It's not my not."

"It's not Will."

"Joyce," Hopper uttered.

"No, you don't understand," Joyce's voice grew more fragile with each word that left her mouth.

"I talked to him, a half hour ago." Y/N sunk into herself. How did they know that was Will? For all they knew it could have been that damn monster, or just an electrical problem, Y/N was just trying to convince herself that Will was alive. There was evidence. But not enough. She continued to think.

"Y-Y/N was there," Joyce said walking over to the small teen with white hair.

"Y/N you... You can tell Hop? Can you?" Y/N burried her head into her knees shaking her head no. She again stayed silent. A few tears dropped from her eyes. Hopper gave her a pitiful look. Joyce rubved her back, not forcing her to talk to the Police Cheif. Joyce got up walking to the cabinet she had been sitting in less that an hour ago.

"He was... He was here," She sniffs.

"He was... He was talking to me, with these," She said holding up the bundle of Christmas lights.
