"Hey, I'm heading out!" Y/N calls out to where ever Steve was moping in the house.

"Where?"

"Mike's! We're having a sleepover!"

"Be safe then!"

"' Kay! Bye! See ya tomorrow."

"Bye!" I walked out the door, it slams shut behind me. That was a lot easier than I thought it'd to go over to Mike's this late.

"Do you think Will is okay?" Mike and Y/N sat on the couch in Mike's basement. It was now morning time, though neither of them slept very well, but better than they would have if they weren't together, comfort in numbers ya know?

"I hope," Mike whispered his voice cracking slightly. Y/N scooted closer to him so they were shoulder to shoulder, it was nice, intimate, being together like this was different just being in the presence of each other was enough, no... No monsters or bullies, only them. That wouldn't last long though. Y/N took Mike's hand interlocking their fingers and laying her head on his shoulder. Mike hummed and squeezed her hand. They sat in silence for a few moments, it was only a short while but to them, it felt like an eternity. Y/N sighed softly.

"This is nice, just being here with you," She stood up dropping Mike's hand.

"But unfortunately I'm hungry," she laughed.

"You want anything?"

"Just make me an eggo, please," Mike's voice cracked again slightly when the word 'eggo' left his mouth, Y/N's eyes softened and she blew Mike a kiss.

"M'kay be back in a second," she smiled walking up the stairs. Mike sat back on the couch slightly. He looked over at the small pillow fort he'd built for Eleven, it left him with a foul feeling and a bitter taste on his tongue. Betrayal. His eyes glazed and he stared blankly at it, walking over to the fort he swallowed the lump in his throat, but then he started to kick it, the blankets flew in the air the destruction bringing relief, it was almost as if he could breathe normally again, pillows and down fluttered hazardously, the chairs were brought down and they banged against the table beside him. Y/N flew down the stairs, she almost tripped over herself.

"Mike! Are you okay?" She rushed to him, she saw the broken remains of the fort around the room. Mike caved in on himself crumpling to the ground burying his face into his palms.

"Oh, Mike," Y/N's voice fluctuated. She squatted beside him. She rubbed his shoulder comfortingly. Her eyes grew misty, the effect this boy had on her was frightening in a way.

"I don't think she meant it." Mike looked up at the alabaster haired girl. The light shined above her head making her skin glow almost... angelically and she had a doughy smile, to Mike she looked like the most beautiful being in the world, and the universe, nobody could rival her.
