I closed my left eye while I pat the make-up brush on my lower eyelid. Gold, brown and maroon are the colors I decided to use for my eyes.
After finishing my eyeshadow, I slowly sticked the false eyelashes on both sides. Your girl needs the extra volume because I am not gifted with long lashes.
With shaky hands, I carefully drew my eyebrows. Once I’m done with the outlining, I started filling it in with my brownish pomade. Glancing at my brows, it looks okay. At least. I seriously need to practice doing my brows.
I’m not really a professional when it comes to make-up. But I learned how to do it and I can say that I can do my own look pretty decent. Though, yeah, don’t expect a gorgeous look.
Maybe one of the factors why I’m still an amateur to make-ups is I used to always have my face done at the salon. My mom would hire some professional artist whenever we need to attend some parties and events. But now, I don’t want to spend money since I know that I can do it just fine.
Actually, Lyra offered her personal make-up artist to me for free. But I refused her, it’s not because of pride but I have to get used to the idea that we are no longer rich.
I started curling my hair using the dual use hair straightener. Good thing, I also know how to do this. It’s just hard, especially because I’m not used to doing it alone.
Getting my Anastasia lipgloss, I applied an enormous amount of brown nude on my lips. I sighed when my hands shook, leaving a stain near my lips. I immediately wiped it out with a tissue.
When I’m finally done putting colors on my face, I went to my walk-in closet and admired the gown I’m going to wear for tonight. It was one of those dresses my dad bought for me when I was nineteen, good thing I haven’t worn it yet.
It’s a lace up sweetheart and strapless blue ombre dress. It falls to the floor and I’m sure it will cover my shoes but I’m still gonna wear my silver stiletto.
[Note: Below is the picture of Margaret's dress. Again, she's not the portrayer haha.]
It took me a while before I finally zipped up the dress on my back. Gosh, it’s so hard dressing up alone! Maybe I should have accepted Ly’s offer. Tsk.After all the things I’ve done, I’m finally looking at myself in the mirror.
I don’t wanna be arrogant but…damn. I look pretty! And I’m so proud of my overall look for tonight because I did all this without any help. This beauty in front of the mirror is all my hardwork!
I received a text message from my date that he’s already outside my building. I texted him that I’m going down in a minute and he doesn’t need to go up here.
My lips curled up in a smile when I saw him looking so handsome in his black suit. I noticed his dark blue tie, fortunately, he bought the right color.
