I lay back against my wall, my legs wrapped in the pile of blankets on my bed. I silently drew in my battered sketchbook, drawing whatever came to my mind. I drew small sketches of Georgie and the quarry, slowly filling up the page. A quiet knock hit my door.

"Yeah?" I called, shoving my notebook under my pillow. Bill opened my door slowly.

"C-can I sleep... sleep in h-here?" my sibling sniffled. I gave him a sympathetic smile and raised my arm, signalling him to come sit beside me. I hooked my arm around him and my head slumped onto his shoulder.

"He's gonna be okay, Billy." I mumbled. He didn't reply, he just continued to sniffle into his pyjama sleeve.

"Can you leave the l-light on?" he spoke in barely a whisper. I nodded, ruffling his hair before pulling a blanket over his small body.
