Summary: MOXIE GIRLS FIGHT BACK!
Vivian Carter is fed up. Fed up with an administration at her high school that thinks the football team can do no wrong. Fed up with sexist dress codes, hallway harassment, and gross comments from guys during class. But most of all, Viv Carter is fed up with always following the rules.
Viv's mom was a tough-as-nails, punk rock Riot Grrrl in the '90s, and now Viv takes a page from her mother's past and creates a feminist zine that she distributes anonymously to her classmates. She's just blowing off steam, but other girls respond. As Viv forges friendships with other young women across the divides of cliques and popularity rankings, she realizes that what she has started is nothing short of a girl revolution.

Word choice, punctuation, grammar, spelling, and sentence and paragraph structure

Nor errors.  Perfects structure of paragraphs and sentences.

Category 2
Plot, setting, background/stories, and characters

I've never heard of a school that is fine with the situations that the book deals with.  So, to me, it's kind of unrealistic.  The characters are extremely stereotypical.  Jocks:  idiotic, rude, and think with their penis, not with their head.  Cheerleaders:  pretty, ditzy, and slutty.
Vivian's mother was like this rebel and all the sudden, you're thrown into this book expecting to know about this rebel group.  This was not explained well.

Writing style and pace on the story

The pace of Moxie was a little too slow.  Nothing was unique about the author's writing style—bland.

Details and descriptions

Details and descriptions were okay.  Could have been better.

Category 5
Originality (overall creativity)

A lot of books have the same or similar story line.  The school is not action about specific situations.  EX:  13 Reasons Why.  Was not that original.
