"What do you think you're doing, trespasser?"
Finch, Smoke, Fern and Ash jumped in shock. A patrol of three cats was standing behind them. The she-cat was black, with green eyes. One Tom was a dark brown tabby, and the other was brown and cream-colored.
"What are you doing on our territory?" the brown tabby repeated.
Finch glanced cautiously at the cats next to her before responding, though she was the obvious leader. "Greetings. I am Finch, and this is Smoke, Fern and Ash. Who are you?"
"What do you mean, who are we? Haven't you heard of Thunder-" the cream-colored Tom's mouth closed with a snap as the she-cat glared at him.
"I am Hollyleaf," said the Black she-cat,"and this is Dustpelt. The hot-headed tom over there is Molepaw. Why are you on Thunderclan land?"
The White she-cat flicked her tail at Finch for permission to speak, and Finch nodded her head. "I am Smoke, and all three of us has heard of your clan. We were traveling in a group, but we split up and don't know where the others are," she added. "May we join your clan, even for only a couple moons?"
"We will have to take it up with our clan leader," the brown tabby said solemnly. "Please follow us."
All seven cats padded through the forest, the forest cats surrounding the rouges.
"What do we do when we get there?" murmured Fern, her Yellow eyes narrowed in confusion. Ash had only read the first book when Finch made her, and had disliked Finch ever since.
"I don't know. Let me lead, I know most of the cats here." Finch declared.
When they got to the camp, a reddish tabby Tom was guarding the narrow entrance. "Foxtail," Hollyleaf said respectively before they entered the camp. Foxtail's hazel eyes narrowed as they went into the bramble tunnel, the rouges in tow.
Finch, Smoke, Fern, and Ash's eyes widened at the sight before them. The hollow seeming so small from outside held many cats. Cats were everywhere, some eating in a bloody mess of feathers or fur, some entering or exiting thickly woven dens, and some just talking or grooming with each other.
"Follow us," Dustpelt commanded as he and Hollyleaf headed into a rocky den. Inside the den was two cats, one bright orange and the other pale ginger. Finch, Fern, Smoke, and Ash waited at the entrance to the den, cautious about what would happen.
'I know these cats,' thought Finch, 'I know that the bright orange cat is Firestar and the Ginger one is Sandstorm, and they are mates with two kits. I better not tell them I know that,' she realized.
"Enter," said Firestar. All four cats exchanged uneasy glances as they entered the den. Firestar and Sandstorm's curious gaze followed them in. "Greetings," said Hollyleaf. "We were out on patrol, when we met these cats. They want to join our clan."
"All of them?" Asked Sandstorm. "We haven't had this many new members in a while!"
"Can you hunt or fight?" Asked Firestar.
"Not exactly..." Finch started.
"Okay, have you had any experience of living in a group setting?" asked Sandstorm.
"Oh yes," Fern started. "We were with them- a while ago. Interrupted Finch. "But they left us,"
"Then we will announce your arrival to the clan." Firestar said.
***you like it? Good. I know the grammar is bad, but no one is probably going to read this, so we don't need to worry about silly things like "grammar" and "dialogue," right? No? Fine. I wrote this in like twenty minutes so it wouldn't be up too late. Remember to comment, star, follow... And... Stuff... Bye.
