The wind was icy cold against Nelson's face as he rode in the passenger side of Samuel's Corvette. The deep V8 coupled with the supercharger whine was an amazing sound combination to him. He couldn't wait to try to own a car like that, although he was only 16. It would be a while before he could get that. Samuel was 16 as well, except he was supposedly from some rich family with an interest in loud and fast cars. They when to school together. "Samuel man," Nelson began as they pulled up to a Burger King restaurant drive thru, "if you're family is so rich why aren't you in private school?" Samuel shrugged, scratching his short blonde hair, his blue eyes intent on the menu. "Something like... they want me to earn my success the same way they did," he said, smiling an uncertain smile. "Says the man in a supercharged Corvette." Samuel laughed a modest laugh, and proceeded to order their usual lunch. In between class during their lunch, they always went to eat out somewhere, even though it wasn't technically allowed. Which was crazy to Nelson because Samuel was such a By the book kind of guy. He'd never even ever heard him say a single curse word. Normally their friend Paul would come with them, but he was absent today. Nelson brushed his dreads out of the way, playing with them a little as he did. Samuel chuckled and remarked, "You really like those new dreads of yours don't you? You've been playing with them nonstop almost." "Don't be a hater man," Nelson laughed. He had a high top style dreads that normally hung over his face, just covering one of his eyes. He had moved them all to the side. "All I need is my beard now," he said, rubbing his bare face where a beard should be. "You should just stay beardless like me," Samuel smirked.
They got their food and hurried back to school so they wouldn't miss the bus. They had a wrestling match today. He had a funny feeling about it. They barely made it back in time to catch the bus, which apparently was leaving exactly right after lunch. "Damn we're cutting it close," Nelson remarked. "I didn't wanna speed," Samuel replied, grabbing the food. They hurried to the line of their fellow wrestlers to load the bus. "Damn where were you two?" José, a fellow wrestler and also good friend of Nelson's asked. He was a really muscular Hispanic guy, essentially equally as strong as Nelson, and was his main competition. "Shit, training to beat you today at the tournament," Nelson replied grinning. "Good luck with that man!" José said laughing as they took their seats.
The bus ride was a few hours long out Knoxville to Nashville, but it felt like barely one hour in the company of his friends. They talked and joked, played chess - which José tended to beat him at as well - and the next thing they knew they were at the tournament. As they pulled up, Nelson stretched his neck nervously, glancing out the window as he did. 'What the hell?' He thought, as it looked like the sun went in and out momentarily. Everyone else on the bus was either on their phone or not paying attention because they didn't seem to notice. Maybe he blinked really hard or something? They got off the bus and prepared for their matches. He was extremely nervous. His heart pounded, though he kept a nonchalant expression. He was confident in his attributes such as how strong he was and how fast he was, but his skill needed work. If he and José were by some chance the last two standing, he didn't know if he would win.
As they walked in the building he heard a strange sound, a sort of vibrating sound. It made him shiver. "You cold man?" Samuel asked curiously beside him. "No, I just heard something.. I.. thought.. I don't know," he muttered confused. Samuel raised an eyebrow at him, before awkwardly scratching his ear. That's weird, Nelson thought, a bit amused. Did this man really just dig in his ear in public? "Uh, I need to use the restroom," Samuel suddenly said, waving his arm at the coach. Before their coach could object, Samuel quickly interjected, "I'm sorry it really can't wait, I'm sorry I'll be right back," and he darted back towards the entrance. He didn't remember seeing a bathroom back there, but he was also really nervous. I need to calm down, he thought to himself. You'll do fine. Maybe I'm just imagining shit. He shivered again, trying to hide his discomfort. Jose looked at him with concern.
As they finally got to the gymnasium, which was filled with crowded seats and one giant mat in the middle, José put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Relax bro. I won't beat you that bad," he jokingly said, trying to lighten his mood. Nelson attempted a smile and a small laugh, but before he could even open his mouth, there was a quiet hissing sound. Quiet, but definitely out of place. He looked up at the ceiling. "What?" José asked just as the ceiling was violently ripped off and flew into the distance. The sky was pitch black, with a green light in the middle. "WHAT THE MOTHERFUCK!??" José exclaimed as the rest of people in the gymnasium screamed and panicked and ran over each other. The entire building began to shake, the walls started breaking apart. The green like in the sky seem to almost paralyze Nelson, he stared directly into it, unable to move. His body seemed to vibrate but he couldn't move. He spaced out. "Watch the fuck out!" José yelled, grabbing Nelson's ankle. It was only then that he realized he was floating in the air, and that the green light was beaming down on him. Oh shit am I getting abducted???? He suddenly thought, still unable to move. They're gonna probe my asshole! José practically threw Nelson down to the ground to get him out of the beam of light. As he rag dolled on the ground, he saw a humanoid looking thing fall from all out the sky and land in the middle of what was left of the gymnasium - and the whole building. The thing had four glowing green eyes, and four arms, and it was staring right at him. He tried to get up but it felt like his ribs were broken, and he felt what he thought was blood running down the side of his face. Please don't probe my asshole, please don't probe my ass, he thought, trying his hardest to get up. He coughed up a bit of blood, and fell back down. That was when José tackled the thing. This dude is crazy!! He thought, his vision fading. When he tried to open his eyes again, the last thing he managed to see was the beast running towards him.
