The bus pulled up to Mia's house and she got off. She ran up to her room and sat at her desk and her phone went off. She looked at it and there were two notifications. A text from Sarah and an email from her. Mia read the text, "This is going to be hard, but thank you for warning me." Sarah had sent. Mia went over to the email and read through it, but she didn't see the link, instead, it said: "The wizard Conner has finished his work." Mia knew Conner. He was Tyler's friend. Conner must have done this. Mia got ready to go find him, but her phone rang and she saw it was her boyfriend, Andrew. She answered it and her once girlfriend's voice said, "Hello Mia. I wanted to know if you wanted to go on a walk in the park." Mia knew she should say no, but her body took control. "I'd love to go with you." She said in a cheery voice. "I'll meet you there in a few minutes. Bye." He said. "Love you, bye." She said cheerily and hung up the phone. She forgot about the email and went off to meet Andrew. She walked there and she saw him sitting on the bench. She snuck up behind him and gave him a hug. He reached up and squeezed her wrist as a return gesture. Andrew stood up and they started down the path hand in hand. Mia could feel her old life start to fade a little, but then she saw Sarah and turned to Andrew. "Hey, Andrew, let's go say hi to Sarah," She said remembering her warning to herself and Sarah. "Okay," He said happily. They sped up and walked up next to Sarah. "Hi, Sarah!" Mia said. "Oh, hi Mia, Andrew," Sarah responded. "Do you know who Conner is?" Sarah asked. "Yes, he was one of Tyler's old male friends, but he may be a female now," Mia said thoughtfully. "Wouldn't his name have changed in the message and your memories show him as a girl if he had turned?" Sarah asked. Andrew looked at his girlfriend, "What are you guys talking about?" He asked confused."It's not important to you, Andrew. You don't even remember what used to be." Mia said to him forcefully. He looked at her grumpily but didn't say anything else. "So, Mia, do you remember Conner as a girl or a guy?" Sarah asked carefully so she wouldn't set her friend off again. "I remember Conner as a boy. We can ask Taylor about it tomorrow as she doesn't have a working phone." Mia said. "Well, I guess I'll see you two at school tomorrow," Sarah said going on down the right path. "Okay, bye," Mia said as she and her boyfriend took the left path.                     They kept walking until they reached a quiet part of the park. Mia turned and walked off the path. She got down on the grass and looked up at the sky as her boyfriend lay down next to her. "Mia, please tell me what's going on. Even if I don't remember I want to try and help you and Sarah." Andrew said apprehensively. "Yesterday, a man named Stephen received an email from an unknown person who we suspect is Conner, one of my and your old friend, when Stephen clicked on the link there was a bright flash and everything was different. Everyone had their genders reversed. All the boys became girls and all the girls became boys. I and the now Sarah are the only two people, who we know of, who still remember what happened. Me and her plan to confront Conner tomorrow and see if we can get him to change the world back, but as we act more like our memories want us to the more we forget of the old world." Mia said sounding almost crazy to Andrew. "You know if it were anyone but me, you would be called crazy, but I know that you couldn't make something up like that and convince Sarah or Stephen to go with it all for the sake of fooling me," Andrew told Mia. "Yeah well that's what happened and I am ready to just wake up and this all be a dream," Mia said wistfully. Andrew sat up and pulled Mia into a hug. "Don't worry Mia. I know you'll be able to fix this, don't give up hope." Andrew said as Mia hugged him tightly. "I'm just scared that I won't succeed and everything from before will be lost," Mia said as she started crying. They sat there together until sunset. Finally, Mia's tears dried and they stood. Andrew picked up Mia and carried her back to her house. Mia just lay in his arms and curled up to his chest. He set her down outside her front door and they kissed. He left. Mia turned and went to her room. She changed into her pajamas and lay on the bed wishing she could have spent more time with Andrew. She could feel that while she was crying and Andrew was carrying her some of her memories had faded, but that didn't matter to her anymore. She knew that now she could be happy even if her memories faded. The only reason she wanted to succeed in fixing the world was for Sarah because while Michael was happy being a girl, Stephen probably wasn't and she didn't want him to suffer.
