Friday couldn't come quick enough. Here I was, entering the school on Wednesday morning. Two days before my date night with Vincent. Of course, I had no clue what I had planned, and I'm not even sure if he even has a clue. Ryker was next to me walking, but he was so engrossed in his new phone that my parents got him. He hasn't let the thing go since he's got it. I was glad to see his excitement, he deserved happiness, but it was getting annoying.

"What are you smiling at?" I questioned while we approached his locker.

"Nothing," he said, smiling, not once glancing up from his little iPhone.

I snatched it out of his hand.

"Hey!" he protested while I tried to go through his text messages.

"I want to know" I pouted since it locked on me.

"Ha Ha," he said, laughing taking it back, "And for your information, I was laughing at Nathan's text."

I continued to pout to myself.

"I see that you and Nathan are having fun. I want to have fun too," I told him. Hey, I don't have to spend every moment with Vincent. I want to have friend time and things.

"I mean you can hang too. Nathan and I do manly things though," he said smirking.

"I can be manly!" I remarked.

"Sure," he emphasized.

"Fine! I won't force myself on you too, but I do have a condition," I grinned.

"What?" he wondered, raising an eyebrow.

"Can you invite Noah with you all?" I asked him, "I think it would be cool, you know? He stays in the house all the time, and I think it would boost his confidence. It could help him since he has a crush on Victoria."

"Hmm sure. That's fine." He said shrugging.

"Yay," I said excitedly, "Maybe, later on, we can plan something for everyone," I suggested

"That'll be cool." He said, grabbing his books and closing his locker, "See you later."

"See you," I said, watching him walk away only for Nathan to join him a few seconds later. They did some handshake thing and walked off to class. I was happy that Ryker was making friends. Hell, he's come a long way from before. I couldn't help but to feel...you know, jealous.

I shrugged the feeling off then strolled to the office. I bypassed everyone and went into the office. Vincent was at his desk, talking on the phone. I waved, going over to my desk and grabbing my belongings. I can say my mood wasn't the usual today. For some reason, my mood has been spoiled. I only had a few minutes to get to class, and Vincent was still on the phone. It was no big deal. I waved goodbye to him and left the office, shutting the door behind myself. I hurried to my first class, taking my seat right before the bell rang.

I looked around for my partner, whose name I still didn't know, as everyone got up to switch seats. Ms. Fibbs sat behind her desk and told us to get started. I would go to his side, but his side was full of jocks. So I waited as he took a seat next to me.

"He," he greeted me indifferently, differently from last time.

"Hi," I greeted quietly, definitely feeling the weird vibe.

"We should get started," he said, pulling out a few sheets of paper and a pen.

I did the same, writing my name at the top. I waited for him to do the same so that I could glance and see what his name was. It read, Daniel.
