"So how was everybody's day?" mom asked as we sat around the table.
"Well, I think I found an office, but I'm not sure just yet. I might just check it out tomorrow," dad answered her as he cut through his steak. I shuttered just watching him do it.
"That's great honey. How about you, Andrew?" she said, directing her attention to me. "How was school?"
"It was okay. I do have a half a day schedule, but I'm working in the office for the rest of the day for my community service hours." I told her then taking a bite out of my salad.
"That's great sweetie. So, do you like it?" she asked me.
"Yeah, I do actually," I told her and admitting to myself. I do enjoy it. I enjoy being around Principal Williams. He was just so fascinating and mysterious. I felt a pull towards him...like I wanted to be around him all the time. When I entered his office, I felt a sense of security there.
"That's good to hear son." dad added.

The next morning, I couldn't keep the smile off my face as my mother drove me to school.
"What's making you so happy today?" she asked me not helping but to smile herself.
"It's nothing really. I just like being in the office" I told her.
"Well, that's great. What part of the office are you working in?" she asked.
"I work in the principal's office with him," I responded.
"Oh wow," she said surprised, "Working with the big boss huh?" she said smirking.
"Yeah, he's really cool," I told her.
"Well, I'm just happy that you like it here," she said as we pulled up to the school.
"As you said, it's what we needed," I said, smiling to myself.
"I know. Have a good day," she said, kissing my forehead like every morning.
"I will. Love you," I said, getting out the car.
"Love you too. See you later," she called out before driving away.
I took a deep breath, then entered the school. I went straight into the office.
"Good morning, Ms. Clark." I greeted as I walked into the door.
"Good morning, Andrew," she greeted me cheerfully, "Did you enjoy your first day?" she asked.
"I did, thank you," I responded, "May I go back?" I asked her.
"Yes, you don't have to ask, just go ahead back. Mr. Williams is here." she said smiling.
"Thank you, I will see you later," I said before I went past everyone to the hallway leading to his office. I clutched my backpack and stopped at his door. My heart began to speed a little as I knocked on the door lightly.
