New World ~Chapter One~

The sun was beaming bright along my skin, my eyes were closed and I couldn't open them it felt like my eyes were glued together. I tried to force them open but they were still glued shut so I laid there for a bit hoping that they would open.

It's been awhile now since I had woken but my eyes were still closed shut, so I lifted my arms and tried to sit up straight. As soon as I tried my arms weaken and I fall straight back down to the ground, I try once more but this time I was successful so I rubbed my eyes to try and get them to open.

My eyes open finally, I see sand and little patches of grass and plants randomly around the place but I mostly see sand. Sand everywhere, I see big massive sandstone rocks, I see little sandstone rocks and also normal grey rocks.

I stand up I have a better look around at the landscape around me, then I realized that there was cactuses everywhere. I walk backwards a bit and had almost ran into a gigantic cactus, then I realized that I could get cactus sap from all these cactuses.

I spent five minutes gathering the cactus sap from two very tall and gigantic cactuses, I finished gathering the cactus cap and had heard a very loud low growl coming from a small distance behind me so I turn around and walk a few steps and see some sort of big cat, it had had a slim body but also had a bit of fat, it had a nice long tail, this creature had very long and razor-sharp fangs that came out of its mouth; but the thing that was so magnificent was the ocean blue eyes that incredible beast had. This big cat's eyes glared at me; it growled once more before it darted at me.

I spring backward to avoid its razor-sharp claws, the beast somehow managed to gash my arm with its razor-sharp claws. I fall to the ground with blood all over the ground. I hear a loud painful growl coming from in front of me, then I hear other voices from the same direction the beast had landed.

I try so hard to stand up but I couldn't manage too, then everything around me started to go blurry and then everything started to fade away into the darkness. I opened my eyes I was in a room of some sort I got out of the bed and walked over to the door and I could hear voices again.

I tried to listen to what they were saying but this door was thick and heavy. But I could hear a girl who seemed to be talking very loudly, so I listened...

"Phoenix we don't even know who she is so how can we trust her." Unknown said.

"I know but we can't just throw her back out into the treacherous world, she was almost slaughtered by a saber tooth tiger a week ago." Phoenix replied.

"Well she'll have to earn the tribes trust if she wants to stay here with us. We don't know what she is capable of Phoenix." Unknown calmly replied.

"I'll send Justin into the room to see if she is awake and to see if she is still in pain, then I'll get everyone to gather in the middle of the base for them to meet her." Phoenix said.

I hear footsteps coming my way so I scurry behind the thick and heavy door to see if I could manage to get out of this room. The guy opens the door and as soon as Justin steps into the room I dash out and I can hear him yelling at me to come back.

I turn into a corridor and hide inside this room I had found; it was gloomy in here and I could hear something moving, at that point I thought that it was a rat but I was very wrong. Whatever it was I had walked right past it and opened the double doors, I stood glancing out at a group of people who were all standing in a circle. I could hear them talking so I try to listen in to what they were saying.

Then I had noticed that Justin who was the one who had opened the door was standing over in the circle of people, and I had a suspicion that he was talking about me. I tried to make a strenuous effort to listen in to what they were saying but that meant moving closer to them. So I travelled next to another building and finally I could hear what they were saying.

"Phoenix the girl has escaped from the room, she had turned left into one of the corridors but I lost her after that." Justin said concerned.

"It's okay we'll find her and anyway there isn't any way out of the base except for flying out so she can't go anywhere." Phoenix said.

"I'll go looking for her and Justin you can come with me, we might have more luck with two of us." Unknown Replied.

At that point I knew it was time for me to hide again, so I dash back into the gloomy room and hide once again.
