I slowly opened my eyes, the cord from my left ear bud, which dangled from my ear, rubbed ticklishly against my neck, sending shivers down my spine, and through the other, the lyrics to All The Small Things, which was entering the first chorus.
"Niall." I whined, sleep still clogging the clearness of my voice.
Silence.
"Bub?" I asked, curiosity echoing through my voice.
No reply.
Slipping the remaining headphone from my ear, I slid my phone into the pocket of my grey jacket, and pushed on the handle that separated me from the outside.
The leather of the seat creaked underneath of me as I moved to step out of the car. Sunlight shone into my eyes very brightly, causing small spots of color to dance across my vision.
Laughter sounded from the mob that stood outside of the bus, bouncing off of the pavement that sat underneath of their shoes.
Pulling my sleeves down over my arms, I made my way over to them, scanning to see who all was gathered outside.
"There you are."
The way the radiant beams of sunshine almost glared off of Niall's brilliant blonde hair caused my eyes to blink on their own, still adjusting to the difference between the dark hole I'd just escaped from and the heavenly bright world I'd entered.
"Um, well," Niall's toothy smile soon appeared on his face, nervousness flushing in his cheeks, "alannah, this is Luke and Calum, boys, this is my sister."
The boy with black hair, Calum, nodded at me, a slight smile playing on his lips.
The other, who I was assuming was Luke, was hardly paying attention. He was absorbed in a playful type of wrestling with a girl, one I hadn't been introduced to.
"Hemmings, you're being spoken to."
The tone in Calum's voice caused Luke's head to snap up, and away from the girl, who seemingly looked about my age, and whose hair fell to one side of her absolutely gorgeous face.
"Yes, Hood, I know," he snapped, running his fingers trough his golden blonde hair. "alannah, correct?"
I nodded slowly, averting my eyes away from his. The girl he was talking to, gave me a quick smile, dimples indented into her cheeks.
"I'm Ella, seeing as Luke here is too rude to introduce me."
Smiling -- oh god it was so fake -- I looked at her, a sense of discomfort riding through my body in waves.
Flowing blonde hair cascaded down her back and around her shoulders, parted off to the side, and a gap made it's way between her perfectly shaped thighs, her eyes shining.
"Nice to meet you."
Opening her mouth, the girl--Ella, was about to speak.
Then there was a yell, an Australian accent clipping the two words the person spoke.
"Louis Tomlinson!"
Bounding towards us was a boy with white blonde hair, a black stripe making a path through the maze of the one solid color.
The tips of his shoes digging deep into the gravel, he skidded to a sudden and quick stop, scattering dust through the clean air. Cocking his head to the side, he smiled.
"Who would this be?"
Heat bubbled up beneath my skin, flush bunching up below my cheeks, causing their color to glow red. Twitching my feet, my shoes rubbed together.
Niall rolled his eyes, not casting a single glance in my direction.
"That's his sister, mate." Calum awnsered.
The boy nodded, his hair bouncing up and down with every slight bob of his head.
"I'm Michael." He introduced, looking at me with his bright, green eyes
I opened my mouth to speak, but was stopped by a man sticking his head out of the bus door.
He had stubble along his jaw, brown eyes, and a sly grin on his face when he spotted Ella and I.
"It's time to board, everyone, we need to hit the road."
