I woke up the next day drained.
I gave blood for Jackie and I spent the night in the hospital waiting room with David and my parents slept in the room with Jackie.

"David." I said tapping his thigh he looked down at me.
"Wassup." He said putting his phone down.

"Did you get any sleep babe?" I asked grabbing his hand.
"I should be asking you that?" He asked putting his hand on my hip.
"Naw, nun at all. I should've been with my sister, she should've been with me." I said wiping my face.

"Come on baby, let's go get our self together." David said.
We both stood up and we held hands.

"Thank you for staying up here with me." I said looking at the side of his face.

"Don't trip on it." He said smiling.

We went to the gas station and D came out with some back woods and two teas for me and him.

He pulled out a bag of weed from his glove compartment.

He started to roll up and I watched as he rolled up.

He started smoking and then he looked at me.
"Here, you need this more than me." He said passing it to me.

"Naw, I'm finna go back into my job I don't want them to see me like that." I said looking at him then down at my phone.

"Yo sister gone be ok baby, she's a strong person and you don't gotta be strong around me because I'm here to be strong for you." He said looking at me.

"I need to be strong for my sister because she is always strong for me." I said wiping my face.

"Come on." He said opening his arms.
I sat in his lap and he cradled me like a baby.

I felt so safe in his arms.
"I'm sorry this happened to y'all." He said rubbing my head with one hand and smoking the blunt with the other.

"Thank you for being here for me." I said hugging him.

We went to his house and got our self together.
David went in the kitchen.
"What you doing?" I asked with a towel wrapped around me getting ready to get in the shower.

"I really need to go grocery shopping, I was gone cook breakfast for y'all but I don't have no groceries." He said closing the fridge.

"Well come on let's go take a shower." I said hugging him from behind

"Hold on baby, I gotta make a quick call." He said pulling out his phone.

After he was done we got in shower.

We were putting our clothes on and I started a conversation.

"D." I said tying my shoes.

He came and sat by me then looked at me.
"Yes." He responded.
"Do you want to have kids one day?" I asked looking at the side of his face.

He looked at me and raised an eyebrow.
"Look if you saying you pregnant that ain't facts because ya boy pulls out." He said.
"No." I laughed.
"I just wanna know." I said laughing.

"Ok cause I was about to say... but all seriousness, no doubt especially if it's with the right one." He said looking at me.

"Ok, What about getting married?" I asked.

"Hell yeah, I wanna have a big ass wedding outside, I want doves and shit, and I want our colors to be white and Mauve." He said smiling.
"Our, you see me in your future?" I asked looking at him.

"I've always seen you in my future." D said looking at me.

I bit my bottom lip and smiled.
"You a smooth talker boy." I said smiling.
"Well I want my wedding..." he cut me off.
"Pink and white with pink and white flowers and for it to be in a big ass hall." He said smiling.
"David you remembered all of that?" I asked looking up at him.
"Yeah." He said smiling.
