When you opened your eyes, you were met with absolute and total darkness. It felt like you were sinking through it, and you had a feeling that you would keep sinking if you didn't do something about it. You quickly uprighted yourself(or at least, what you thought was upright) and started scanning the area around you, looking for any sign of life.

A small orb of light entered your peripheral vision, and you turned around to look at it. It was a dazzling shade of purple, causing a ray of violet to shine forever downwards into the darkness. "Whoa..." You then realized that you could talk, despite the environment encompassing you having traits similar to that of H2O. Your voice sounded fuzzy, as if you were speaking through a telephone. "I can talk in here? Where is 'here'?" As if to answer your question, the orb floated off and you shouted, "Hey, wait!"

Swimming in this dark essence proved easier than swimming in water. You paddled lightly and caught up with the ball of light, only for it to pick up speed. "Alright, I see your game," you growled. You sped up, an idea popping into your head. You reached out for the orb and grabbed it. It started changing shape in your hand, squirming around and becoming flatter, wider. Eventually, it settled on the shape of a compass with the needle pointing ahead of you. "Thanks."

Keeping the new guiding tool in your hand, you quickly swam in the direction the needle pointed, wondering where this thing was taking you. You checked the compass every few seconds or so to ensure that you were going the right direction. "This is unlike any blackout I have ever had. What drugs did Orange Snake put me under to make me hallucinate this badly?"

Another light suddenly popped into your vision, this one jade green. The purple light had shown a light pattern where all light was expanding outwards from a central point. This light looked more like it spread its glow evenly across itself and added a little fog to it as well, for you could make out small shapes in it. The green light started to float in front of you before circling your head. "Move it! I'm trying to get to wherever I'm going!"

It went back to floating in front of you before flying straight on your face, over your eyes. You quickly closed them as the orb changed shape and stopped swimming, keeping yourself afloat with your legs. When you thought it was safe, you opened your eyes and used your free hand to feel around your eyes. Your hand touched something plastic, yet you could see ahead of you much farther than before. "Are these...goggles?" You realized that you had just spoken out your thoughts, or rather that your thoughts had made themselves vocal. "Thanks again."

You kept going, looking at your compass occasionally. With the goggles, you were able to see more of this darkness. For one, there were little white spheres decorating it at every turn, and more orbs floating around, all of them adding color to the monochromatic landscape. Some of them drifted about aimlessly whilst others ran at your appearance. Eventually, you came across another orb willing to come close to you. It was a fiery red, and its luster was pulsating constantly and harshly. It circled your body, sometimes bumping into you whenever it felt like it. Then it landed on your bad foot and started going through the motions, changing shape. When it finished, however, you didn't feel anything on your foot. You looked down to see that the bandages were gone and all of your skin had been healed up. "Thanks again."

At some point, your compass's needle started to flick and turn every which way. "Well, that's great. Thing's broken." You swam forwards a little, and the needle snapped back in your direction. You swam back a little, and the compass started losing its marbles again. Looking around in confusion, you noticed how all the orbs around you were moving upwards now. You decided to follow their example, careful to keep the compass in its freak-out stage. You spotted something high above you; the largest ball of light you had seen up to that point. It appeared that all the other orbs were heading straight for it. You swam as fast as you could, reached out to touch it, let go of the compass, and took off your goggles.
