Chapter 5- France

France

Kassius' POV

Rae has left me.

I look all over my territory to no avail. I go to the Prime Blood's incase she went to check on her pack.

At the border I am greeted by Charlotte. "Hello Alpha Kassius." She greets me with as smile before looking behind me. "Where's Rae?" She questions. "She isn't with you?" Charlotte nods in confirmation, a small frown on her face. "Do you know where she could have gone?"

"I'm not sure, she has only ever left our territory once, not including when she went with you." I nod in understanding, many wolves never leave their pack. "And where did she go?" A flash of concern fell on her face. "France."

"France?" Nod. "She's gone to France? Why did she go there? Wait. The note that person left, they signed it 'Au Revoir'. Who does she know that lives in France?" Charlotte looks as if she is about to tell me before she stops herself.

"I suggest you ask her."

Rae's POV

In just under two hours my plane lands. No one has attempted to mind link me yet, which is unusual but maybe Kassius has noticed my disappearance or notified my pack. I got a flight at 4 am so maybe everyone is still asleep.

In some ways I am glad because I can just get on with what I need to do but in other ways I feel like they don't care that I've left. Well our mate definitely cares, he love us. My wolf reassures me in full confidence.

"Bonjour. Ça fait longtemps." Guillaume addresses me as soon as I enter the castle in the woods.
"You mean long time no see, remember English? Well you need to use it with me. I only know that and Au revoir in french." 

"So you got my note? I'm sad that young boy had to die but you failed to responded to my requests for the past month. You and that mate of yours." Disgust was evident in his tone at the word mate.

"Why are you messing with our packs?"

"Ahh... well that is a very good question. You remember the good old days?"

"I wouldn't refer to them as good but yes, enlighten me."

"I did tell you that you would pay for what you did, did I not?" He pauses, waving a hand. "Well, lets call this my revenge."

Kassius' POV

"Where in France could she have travelled to?" I asked Charlotte. She looked thoughtful, before telling me she doesn't know. "Could her parents know?"

"Well.... um... her parents aren't really around anymore, you see they died on the trip to France. This is why my I'm confused at to why she went back."

"If you don't mind me asking, how did they die?"

"She never told me much, just that they were protecting her. After she came back she cried for months, because she felt like it was all her fault, before building up her walls, this is when she became the only Luna to ever run a pack."

"Hmmm.." I respond sadly. "Is there anyone else who would know where in France she could be?"

"No sorry," my wolf and I growl in frustration "but I remember her parents saying they were going to the South of France, to clear up some loose ties their family had left."

"Well that rounds it down, a bit, in order to buy a plane ticket wouldn't she need a passport and everything?"

"Her passport must still be valid, it has only been two or three years since she went with her parents."

"Wouldn't they have a record of her getting on the flight?"

"They would!" Charlotte replies in a mixture of realization and joy.

Unknown POV 

I heard Rae has come back. She shouldn't be here. She doesn't know the danger she faces. I have to help her

Kassius' POV 

I've found her. Vatry International.

Where has Rae gone? Why? Who is this unknown person?

There is a bit of french in this chapter but I did use Google translate so it may be wrong. If any of my french is wrong now or in the future, let me know and I will fix it.

I updated pretty quickly this time, and it will probably be like this for a while because I am grounded until the end of the month.  Either way I do have a maths exam on the 17th to study for (it's just a progress exam for the teacher) plus two different science mocks on the 21st and 24th.
