Your POV
"So, you'll stay with me?" Camila asked with hopeful eyes.
"Yea, I guess," I shrugged.
I laughed when Camila squealed and pulled me into a hug.
"I finally have a roommate! This is so exciting!" She said with a bright smile.
"Yea, and I'm the goofball," I said, earning a playful glare from her.
"I'm just excited. Okay?" She said, shoving me lightly. "Oh! Let's go set up your room!"
Camila grabbed my hands and dragged me behind her as she skipped through the house.
Hey, maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

"What do you do?" I asked Camila as we sat in her living room watching a movie.
We had finished bringing my things into the guest room, which was only a little ways down from Camila's bedroom, a few hours ago. Now we were sitting around hanging out.
"What do I do?" She asked back with a confused look.
"Yea. Like, as your job," I explained as I looked around the room. "What do you do?"
"I told you already, silly," she smiled. "I make music."
"That's your job?" I asked, to which she nodded. "Are you like... good at it?"
Camila giggled at my question.
"I would like to think so," she smiled.
"Can I hear some of it?" I asked.
"I don't have much of my solo stuff," she told me. "I can show you some songs from when I used to be in a girl group."
I nodded and Camila pulled out her phone, scrolling for a little before settling on something.
She handed me the phone as a music video started playing.
"Wait. That's you?" I asked as I watched the girls in the video dance around the construction site.
"Yea," she giggled. "That was about a year ago."
"What's this one?" I asked as I clicked a different video and the screen switched to what looked like a sleep over.
"Don't watch that one!" Camila exclaimed, attempting to take her phone away from me.
I just laughed as I kept the phone out of her reach and continued to watch the video.
All of the girls in the video looked so much younger than they did in the other video Camila had showed me. This must have been a long time ago.
"Y/n," Camila groaned.
"Fine," I smiled, handing her the phone back.
"Thank you," she said as she snatched the phone and shut off the video quickly.
"What happened to that group?" I asked her.
"The other four girls are still together," she told me sadly. "I left around eight months ago."
"You left?" I asked, not understanding why.
They looked like they were popular and successful.
"Yea. I realized that wasn't what I wanted to do. I wanted to make my own music that came from my heart, not whatever songwriters made us sing," she shrugged. "I wasn't happy anymore."
"Are you happy now?" I asked, watching the smile on her face grow slightly.
"I'm more than happy," she told me, and the sparkle in her eyes showed me she was telling the truth. "I'm making music that tells my story."
"Well, that's all that matters," I nodded. "Are the other girls happy?"
"I don't really know," she told me sadly. "We don't really keep in touch anymore."
"Oh," I said. "Well, maybe one day you guys will have the chance catch up."
"I really hope so," Camila said with a frown. "I miss them."
"Come see," I said, opening my arms for the girl.
Camila didn't hesitate before climbing into them, wrapping her arms around my torso and snuggling into me.
I don't know why I felt the need to comfort the girl, but that's exactly what I did.
I felt like this is where I was supposed to be.
