Your POV
I grunted as I readjusted the backpack on my shoulder that used to be filled with weed and adderall. I had just finished selling the rest of it, so now it was filled with cash and I was on my way back to Lonnie's.
I was getting so sick of this.
It started out as a way to provide for myself, but now I was just another one of Lonnie's drug mules. Every time I finished selling the stash he'd give me he would just load me up again.
It was an endless cycle and I wanted out.
I kicked a rock across the sidewalk as I passed a house that was obviously hosting an exclusive party. I couldn't see inside but the paparazzi sitting by the entrance must've meant some popular people were inside.
I just shook my head as I kept walking. Lonnie's house wasn't for another mile anyways.
I continued to walk, my hood on my head and my hands in my pockets until I approached Lonnie's house.
He lived in a pretty nice house. Anyone passing would never think that there was a drug lab in the basement.
I approached the door, knocking and waiting for someone to answer.
"Whoa, didn't expect you back for a few more days," Lonnie said when he opened the door. "That batch sold quick, huh?"
"Yea," I answered shortly, hoping he'd give me a few days before he gave me more to sell.
"C'mon, I have another batch of adderall ready. You can take that now," he said as he led me to the living room.
I internally groaned as I followed him. I didn't want to be a part of this life anymore.
"I'm actually thinking about giving you a batch of something a little more wild. You want to try selling this molly for me?" He asked.
That was the last straw. I wasn't getting myself more involved in this.
"No," I said, watching Lonnie freeze briefly before he broke out into laughter.
"Oh, that was a good one kid," he laughed. "So, you'll sell it?"
"No," I deadpanned. "I'm not selling that shit, Lonnie."
"Why not?" He asked, his eyebrows creasing in slight anger.
"Because I don't even want to be selling this stuff for you," I said, showing him the bag of adderall. "Much less that shit."
"Fine, since you don't want this," he said, taking back the molly. "I'm sure you wouldn't mind me tripling your usual amount."
He grabbed two more bags of adderall, attempting to hand them to me as well.
"You know what?" I asked, dropping the single bag of adderall I had on the table. "I'm done."
"You're done?" He asked, the two other guys he had with him standing up behind him.
"Yes, Lonnie. I'm done. I started doing this for you because I needed to provide for myself. You took advantage of me because I was a dumb kid who needed money," I ranted. "I can't do this anymore, Lonnie."
"Fine," he said. "You can have out..."
I knew he wasn't done with that sentence.
"...but you have to sell this last batch for me."
"What?" I asked, dumbfounded. "Did you not hear anything I just said?"
I knew I was pissing him off, but I was done.
"I'm not selling for you anymore, Lonnie," I told him. "I'm leaving."
I could tell he was furious.
"No, you aren't," he said. "Look, Y/n. You're like a daughter to me, but there's only two ways this can go. You can either sell this last batch and be out, or you can dip out on me and we can kick you out."
I thought about what he said, but I'd already made up my mind.
"I'm. Out."
"Very well," Lonnie said, motioning for his guys to do their thing.
"Fuck you," I spat before running as fast as I could.
