Annabelle's P.O.V
I finally rolled out of bed around 10:30 and texted Lucy.
To: Luce
From: Belle
Hey, babe. Come over around 3. xx
To: Belle
From: Luce
Okay, lovely. I'll be there. xx
I set my phone down on the table and walked downstairs. Hopping down each step like a little kid I made my way into the kitchen, I reached up to pull a bowl out of the cabinet when my mom walked into the kitchen.
"Hey, Anna!" She chirped, walking behind me.
"Hi, Mommy!" I piped back, grabbing the cereal out of the pantry.
"Are you excited? Ashton seems like such a nice boy." She asked setting our coffees down on the table.
"Oh, Mama. I have butterflies, it's like I'm in middle school again. I think I really like him." I said, sitting criss cross in my chair, sipping on my coffee.
"I think he likes you too."
"What makes you say that?" I asked, taking a bite of my cereal.
"Because the way he looks at you, is the way your father looked at me." She said, while I finished the last of my cereal.
"Wow. That was deep, mom."
"It's what I'm here for. Now, when's Luce coming over? I miss that little ball of energy!"
"Around 3, what time is it now?"
"Like, 11:30."
"Wanna watch a movie with me?"
"The Vow?"
"The Vow. You know me so well."
"Well, I am your daughter."
We layed on the couch for a couple hours watching chick flick after chick flick, crying, laughing, and eating ice-cream, before it finally reached 3 and Luce walked through the front door.
"Uh. Guys? What's going on here?" Luce asked, laying her dress over the back of the couch.
"We had a mother-daughter morning because I never get to see her anymore." I said, getting up off the couch wrapping the blanket around me. "You ready, Luce?"
"Never been more ready. I'm so excited."
"Good!" I squealed grabbing her and my mom's wrists dragging them up the stairs behind me.
I pulled my dress out of the closet and hung it on the back of the door while I turned my curling wand on. Walking out of the bathroom and into my bedroom, I helped Luce get her dress on, and then stood back to admire her. It was a floor length mint green dress with a bejeweled bodice, it flowed perfectly over her porcelain skin. She reminded me of a doll, she looked so flawless. And we weren't even half way done. I guess you could say I'm the "prettier" one, but not tonight. It's her night to shine, in the words of Rihanna, she's going to "shine bright like a diamond" and I'm going to be proud of her every step of the way. I led her into my bathroom and positioned her in front of the counter. Strand by strand I wrapped each piece of hair aroung my wand until it was all curled. Grabbing hair on both sides of her head I braided it until it met in the back and pinned it down. Leaving the crown of her head free. Turning her to face me, I swiped my mascara want across her eyelashes a few times, and turned her back around.
"You look gorgeous, love." I said.
She covered her mouth and she started to tear up. "I've never felt as pretty as I do now. Thank you.."
