It's been weeks since Minji's last incident that put her to the hospital. She never really went into the forest again since Jihoon was with her the whole time. She didn't get the chance to sneak out from the house again. But being the smart girl she was, she still read the Journal that she found before she was grounded.
Wanna One has been visiting often too since she was grounded and not allowed to go out this summer break, so she wouldn't feel lonely.
It was already dark when Jihoon went upstairs to check on her condition again for the 100th times today.
"What do you feel about the stitches on your hands, Minji?" asked Jihoon from the peak of her bedroom's door, scanning her from afar afraid that he would disturb her serious look on the journal.
"I'm fine, brother. The scars are fading quickly and I don't know how that happens but it's good, right?" she looked at her brother with her assuring smile. Jihoon let out a sigh then walked near to her in a split second and she didn't even notice that because Minji was already put her focus on the Journal and books she was reading.
"It's been a long time since you've found that Journal, you know? Tell me what have you catch from that journal can you?" Jihoon pulled the journal and closed it then put it back inside the box.
"Anything? Like all?" Minji asked.
"Yep, I won't be mad even if it's a little crazy or fictional," Jihoon smiled making her smile too knowing that her brother hasn't been such a douche bag lately.
"It's all about the creatures inside the woods including vampires, werewolf, and such kinds of stuff. They basically live alongside us but in another dimension and people said that they are in the forest near our house." she stopped, curling her mouth a bit.
"That's it? only vampires, werewolf and such kinds of stuff?" Jihoon mocked her because she didn't catch the things that were so important in the book.
"I've read all of them, even the family tree of a Park Clan... that lead me to know us better," she closed her eyes a bit.
"And you shall know the truth, Minji," Jihoon held her hands wanting to tell her the truth.
"I know, our family is the Park Clan. Park Junghee was like our great-great-grandmother that was reported to be missing in the woods, known for killed by the beast." She looked at him with a blank face.
"Yes, that's right and that's the reason why we, me, wanna one, and dad always told you not to go near the forest. It's a dangerous place especially knowing that your vampire side is still processing to wake up," he paused a bit to take a breath and still manage to continue the story but Minji cut his words.
"Does that means that I'm changing? I almost licked the blood weeks ago, sometimes I get so thirsty but when I drank the water it didn't work out, I''m afraid," her eyes were teary by the moment she said the last words. Jihoon could felt her hot breath and tears rolling down so he pulled her in a hug.
Minji was so calmed down when she felt Jihoon's embrace on hers. It's been a long time since they were so close like that. Hugs, deep talk, and such things never happened again since their mother was dead. All of them were like shutting themselves off from each other, minding their own business and such things.
The night was going peacefully as Minji stopped crying and still in her brother's embrace. The wind was blowing knocking the branches of the tree to their window. Without her knowing, her dad was there beside her door listening to them peacefully as they got along so well. Jihoon, of course, knew that from the vampire hearing he has but he just brushed the thoughts of that from his mind.
"Is this feels good to you?" Jihoon spoke up playfully at Minji to cheer her up.
"Of course, you make me warm, bro." she laughed a bit wiping her tears on her cheeks.
"You don't need to be afraid. Me, Wanna One and dad will help you change." He gave her the assuring smile that made her relief that she has someone to rely on.
Without him knowing, Minji fell asleep on his embrace with her puffy face. Jihoon then put her in her bed, pulling up her blanket, not forgetting to kissed her forehead, "I know you can do well," with that he left her sleeping peacefully.
Park Jihoon
Letting her know the truth slowly like that wasn't that bad. I was so happy that she didn't freaked out that much. I hope she got along with us quick enough because her training was about to start soon with us.
When I left her room, the hallway was dark and dad wasn't there anymore. I could hear the clock was ticking as always. Due the empty night I was startled when my phone rang, showing the caller's name on the screen, Yoon Jisung.
"Eo? What's wrong, hyung?"
"Are you that busy to just pick my phone?"
"I was with Minji earlier.. explaining her the basic of us."
"So, how was her reaction? Was it bad or did she fainted?"
"Noooo she just fine with everything since she found out about us from the journal"
"Okay, then.. her first training wil start tomorrow. Wake her up at 6, me and Sungwoon will pick her up and take her to our house in the forest."
"Do I need to come with you guys? Because I have something to do"
"No, you don't need to. I've read your mind earlier, and I just want to warn you. Be careful, okay?'
'Alright, hyung. Don't tell her, okay?"
"What if she reads your mind? We still don't know what she's capable of doing."
"I'm 100% sure that she doesn't have the mind reading ability. Just in case, I'll ask Minhyun hyung to lock this mind of mine."
"Good.. I'll hang up for now, don't forget yo wake her up."
"Okay, hyung.."
With that, I hung up the phone and plopped myself to my bed. A thought showed up again in my head, "Do I need to do this tomorrow?"
