The end of the year was nearing, but Midoriya was still in class. He kept his head low, near his desk, he was trying his best to avoid being the centre of attention. Unfortunately, though, his name was brought to attention. "You're also going for U.A., aren't you Midoriya?" The class became deathly silent and froze before there was a large eruption of laughter coming from everyone except a certain blond, who was seething in anger. Trying to explain his reasonings an explosion hit his desk.
"Forget the crappy quirks! You're totally quirkless! And you think you can rub shoulders with me?!" Bakugou was exclaiming out for the whole world to hear, pushing Midoriya against a wall on the floor. Midoriya tried his best to explain himself, "It's just...it's been my dream since i was little and, well..." his gaze fell to the floor nervously, "there's no harm in trying..." His heartfelt explanation, however, fell on deaf ears as the whole class still laughed at him while Bakugou tormented him.
The school day finally ended and Midoriya was preparing to go home when Bakugou walked in with two of his 'friends'. "We're not done here yet, Deku." 'Deku' he hated being called that, it was a nickname Bakugou used on him to tell him how useless he was for not being born with a quirk; Midoriya never said anything though and just soaked in all the insults throughout the years. The notebook in his hand was unexpectedly snatched from him and into Bakugou's hands. "Hey, give it back.." The green-eyed timidly pleaded. The three other boys though just saw the title, 'Hero Analysis for the Future No.13', and mocked him. "'For the future'? Seriously, this guy Midoriya!" One of Bakugou's lackeys laughed. Without hesitation, Bakugou abruptly activated his quirk with the notebook still in his hands and threw it out the window. All Midoriya could do was watch in utter despair.

"The best heroes out there, well they showed signs of greatness even as students. I'll be the FIRST and ONLY hero from this crappy middle school. The first to win the honour of becoming a student at U.A. High, guess i'm just a perfectionist." Bakugou's rugged, hot hand made contact with Midoriya's shoulder before the blond set off another explosion, "In other words, don't you DARE go to U.A. nerd." As the trio, led by the abrasive blond, were leaving the now empty classroom. Midoriya would never forget the words that left Bakugou's mouth and speared themselves into his weak heart, "You wanna be a hero so bad? I've got a time-saving idea for you, hope to be born with a quirk in your next life and take a swan dive off the roof of the building!" The ruby-eyed male laughed a final time before leaving Midoriya alone, replaying his harsh words on his mind all the way home.
