Bethanys P.O.V

I woke up in the morning with that same smile I had the night before. It's ridiculous.

I get ready, put my makeup on, brush my teeth, etc.

I'm ready extra early today so I actually eat breakfast. Stuffing my face with a granola bar, I grab Perries coat.

I reach the school and hop out of my car. I left Perries coat in the passengers side because, I figured she wouldn't want me to come up to her in school despite our long conversation. She stayed for two hours...all the confessions last night shocked me. I huff out a breath and walk into the dreaded school.

I immediately see Perrie & her group. For some reason she makes me heart skip a beat. If she found out how I felt about her, she'd punch me in the face and murder me without any warning.

I huff out in hesitation. Should I go up to her and tell her I have her coat?

No.

I sped up my walking and reached my locker. Then I stopped at the front of it as I remembered what Perrie told me. Zayn put rotting cottage cheese in my locker. I did smell something bad. I frown and open my locker getting hit with a rotten smell that made me almost vomit.

I heard Zayn and his friends laughing loudly behind me. All there laughing echoing through my head...all the years of bullshit they've put me through. You know that feeling you get when you are about to cry and your throat hurts but you force yourself not to. Yeah it was just like that. A tear finally escapes my eye and I hear Zayns mocking voice.

"Awww is baby Bethany gonna go cwy now?"

And just like that, my bag fell to the floor and I slammed my locker so fucking hard that I swear it could break off its hinges. Before I knew what I was doing, I had my hands around Zayns throat and he threw me down.

"Fuck you bitch!!!!" He yells and his friends laugh again.

Anger boils so deeply inside of me, I get off the ground really fast and my fist collides with Zayns cheek. It wasn't a slap. I punched him so hard and it felt good so I went for more. Pretty soon I was straddling him, pounding my fist into face repeatidly. It was when I saw the blood spewing from his mouth and nose that I realize what I've done.

I was expecting him to come back with some smart ass comment but he just stopped fighting and dropped his head down to the ground with a thud. I knocked him out.

My breathing was heavy.

"WILTON!!!" I heard Mrs. Chandler scream from down the hall. Fuck....the principle.

"FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!" I heard a bunch of people chanting. I was on my route to Chemistry class. It was a fight! How can I help it? I needed to see.

I dodged students and ran to the massive group of people chanting.

I stopped dead in my tracks. Zayn threw Bethany down to the ground and called her a bitch. But no...Zayn wouldn't even hurt a fly. Bethany sat there stunned and crying. I was about to rush in and help her but she flew off the ground, lunging at Zayn. She started punching him, he fell and she straddled him throwing endless punches over and over again.

I couldn't find it in myself to go help Zayn...he didn't deserve my help.

I hear Mrs. Chandler call her out by her last name. Bethany is probably just as shocked as I was. But I know that Zayn was rude to her long before I came around as well.

I decide to skip Chemistry and go to the office with Bethany.

"Mrs. Chandler! Wait!" I call out to our principle. She has Bethany gripped tightly by her forearm.

"Yes, Ms. Edwards?" She responds. I knew that I'm her favorite student. "Can I come with you to the office?" I ask. I see Bethany visibly tense at my words. "Ms. Wilton's in trouble....I'm not sure."

"No, i'm her friend!" I smile assuringly. I don't even know if I'm her friend. She hates me...I think.

"Well...okay."

I follow Mrs. Chandler and Bethany to the office, getting strange looks from people. But, I didn't care that much.

Mrs. Chandler throws Bethany into a chair and I cautiously sit down next to her. "Spill it Wilton!" Our principle snarls at her. Bethany looks distraught and stutters her words.

"M-Mrs. Chandler! You don't understand! You've n-never seen what Zayns done to me!" She tried to back herself up in the most believing way possible. I want to say something to Mrs. Chandler and defend Bethany but my words are caught in my throat.

"Are you kidding Wilton? I know Zayn. He's nothing but nice. He's been nothing but nice to you!" Mrs. Chandler defends Zayn.

Finally I can speak, "actually! Ma'am...I'm dating Zayn. I know him. He really is a jerk..."

Mrs. Chandler and Bethany both look at me like I've swallowed a cow. Mrs. Chandler looks at a loss for words and opens her mouth a few times to speak but doesn't say anything.

Well. I suppose I have her attention. "What I'm saying is, I've only been here for four years...and I know that Zayn has been bullying and tormenting Bethany since Elementary School...so could you like please...give her some slack?"

I hear Bethany gasp a little bit but my eyes are connected with Mrs. Chandlers.

"I...I suppose?" She is still lost for words, "we have a strict no-bullying policy. We'll call Zayn in after lunch. You two are dismissed."

"Wait! Ma'am! Since I've been dating Zayn...i know that he will lie to you and do anything in his power to make you believe he is innocent. Please believe me. He can be so charming and deceiving so don't fall for it."

She nods at me and smiles, turning to Bethany with sympathy in her eyes.

"I'm sorry Bethany...my apologies for blaming you without hearing your side of the story. I'll let you take the rest of the day off. I'll give your mother a ring to tell her I excused you."

Bethany smiles at her and rises out of her chair and I follow her out of the office.

"Thank you Perrie..." she says quietly.

I frown. "No Bethany...I'm sorry. I am sorry that I bullied you because I just went with Zayn. This is all my fault."

We start heading out of school to her car. "Oh no Perrie...this isn't your fault. You were new and everything and wanted to fit in."

She gets into her car and I rush over into the passenger side. She looks at me, confused with my behavior.

"You're coming?" She raises an eyebrow.

I nod at her, "if that's ok with you?"

She smiles and starts her car and we head off to her house.

Well this is going to be interesting.
