On the walk home Jewel is silent. We don't start to talk until we reach the cave. "What were you thinking?", shouted Jewel. "I just wanted to have a friend and Ell likes me and comes to see me." I replied. "When did you start to visit Ell?", Jewel questioned. I started at the beginning and went from there..........
Flashback
"Where are those darn berries?", I whispered to myself. I had been looking for some black since jewel left go hunt about twenty minutes ago. I remember Jewel showing them to me last year, but I just don't remember where they were. I decide to go look up by the fence hoping for better luck. I tried to stay away from the district fence because it scared me, but it was for Jewel's birthday so I at least had to look. It took about half an hour to get to the fence and I was exhausted. "The faster I find the berries the faster I get home.", I thought. After looking around for a while I finally found the berry bushes and started to pick the biggest of the berries. I heard a cry of pain behind me and I turned to see a girl about my age crying on the ground. It looked like she had tripped and hit her head on a rock. Being the person I am I left my basket to go see if she was alright. As I approached the girl looked frightened. She was about to scream when I told her that it was alright and I just wanted to make sure she was alright. She slowly sat up an started to rub her head. "You took a pretty nasty spill.", I exclaimed. "Ya I'm pretty clumsy.", she laughed. We started to talk and make jokes. Eventually she asked me why I wason the otherside of the fence and I gave her my whole life story. After I finished telling her everything she looked scared. "That's terrible.", she whispered. "Ya.", I replied. We talked a while longer and when it started to get dark I told her I had to head home. She asked me to promise to come back the next day and I agreed. I went to get my basket and found the berries gone. "Oh well, at least I hadn't traveled this far for nothing.", I huffed. I had finally made a friend and it felt good. This would defienitly go into the catogory of best day ever. When I got back to the cave Jewel looked worried and kept asking me where I was. "I went looking for some fruit, but couldn't find any.", I somewhat lied. "Ok, but next time you need to tell me you scared me half to death!", she exclaimed. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
