Evangelion 2.33 : You can (not) be loved

Part 2 : Reality

The screen starts at Gendo's office.In the room contains Misato, Ritsuko, fuyutsuki , Kaworu and Shinji.

Gendo : What are your purpose here, angel?

Misato : And What have unit 01 become?

Kaworu : I am Kaworu Nagisa. I am here for the only purpose of initiating the 3rd impact and destroying mankind . However, at the time in the door of guf, I have learned that the other side of the Lilin. Their bright side has actually turned me to help fighting against my own destiny. This is how Shinji and I were able to escape from the door of guf.

Ritsuko : We have put the Eva in unit 01's old cage. We have done a full check on it and it has TWO cores! How is this possible ? Wouldn't the Eva be too powerful for us to hold in this form?

Kaworu : The two cores contains three different souls. The first one came from unit 01, which contains Ms. Ayanami's and Ms. Ikari's soul. The second one come from unit 06 which has its soul in it. This Eva most likely is a combination of the two.
As unit 01 is a clone of Lilith and unit 06 being one of Adam's clones, this Eva's power would be incredibly strong. It's full potential is still unknown though.

Gendo : That's enough. This Eva will be known as the new Eva Unit 13. We will discuss other details later. As Tokyo-3 is still mostly unaffected, we will have a apartment arranged for you, Mr. Nagisa. You are all now dismissed.

Everyone walks out of the room as the door closes behind them.
Shinji decides to take a trip to the Nerv hospital to see the injured Asuka.He hasn't seen her since he ran away from Nerv.

Shinji : Misato, I want to take a trip to the Nerv hospital, I want to visit Asuka.

Misato : We'll go together.

Kaworu : Mind if I join?

Misato and Shinji looks at the "angel boy" in confusion, but soon agreed as he couldn't really do anything. The trio quietly walks down the corridor to Asuka's room. As they arrived, they saw Asuka sleeping on the bed, peacefully. Her injuries have mostly healed now and a lot her bandages have been removed.

Misato : She suffered a lot of injuries. Although it does not look like it on the outside, mental damage was done to her during the angel contamination of unit 03. She needs rest.

Shinji : Asuka........... It was all my fault.

Shinji feels enormous guilt. Although it isn't all his fault, he still feels like he indirectly caused Asuka to be in this kind of state.

Kaworu : All living beings that have individual thinking makes mistakes every once in a while. It's an event that will occur no matter what and you could never see it coming. There is no need to be in so much guilt and hold it in all by yourself. You could always find me to talk if you need it, Shinji.

Shinji : Thanks, Nagisa.

Before the trio left the room, Shinji left a note for Asuka and left it on her bedside .They proceeded back to their own destination. Kaworu has left to confirm his apartment's location and Shinji and Misato has gone back home.

*3 hours later*

Shinji is currently cooking dinner for himself and Misato in their apartment . He usually prepares more food but due to the absence of the redhead he only prepared enough for the two people present in the room.He soon finished cooking. It was ramen with pork today. Misato digs in the food due to her being incredibly hungry.

Misato : Oh my god! These are so good! Your cooking are surely becoming better!

Shinji : Thanks....

Misato : why the sad face? Is there something bothering you?

Shinji : It's nothing ,Misato. It's just my fault again.

Misato proceeds to the fridge and took out two cans of beer.

Misato : Come on! Don't keep those things in your mind. Spill them out and you will feel better! There is nothing than cannot be solved over a can of booze!

The two talked till midnight. Shinji soon told Misato over the enormous guilt to the two events that happened his roommate and the clone of his mother. Shinji soon broke down in tears but thanks to Misato he is feeling a lot better.

Misato : Look, Shinji. There is nothing you could do in both events. The dummy plug cannot be stopped and you just tried to save Rei! It's only unfortunate that things turned out like that.

Shinji : Thanks for talking with me, Misato. I truly am feeling a lot better.

Misato : No thank you Shinji. But there is one thing we need you to do.

Shinji : What is it?

Misato : You and Kaworu Nagisa need to participate in the tests for unit 13. Remember that? The somehow new but also not that new Eva.

Shinji : Okay.

* The next day *

Shinji wakes up and cooked breakfast for the purple hair woman and himself after his routine shower. They finished all their morning activities and left for the geofront. After arriving, the two split to their destination. Shinji left for the changing room and and Misato went to the testing chamber which faces the cage that stores unit 13.

Misato : Eva status ?

Ritsuko : All normal readings, ready for testing colonel.

Misato : Pilots?

Maya : On their way colonel! They will first do a sync test with their Eva and then proceed in the Eva itself.

Misato : Let's get this test started !

*Screen turns to black*
