i looked into the backseat, watching carmen sleep peacefully . we were on our way home from the water park, i knew carmen enjoyed her self because her sleeping proved everything .

craig:" what's wrong, jacob ?" he asked looking at the road

jacob:" nothing, i can't handle ." i said looking out the window

craig:" what are you, talking about ?"

jacob:" don't worry about it, and i was thinking about bringing carmen to the amusement park tomorrow or the day after ."

craig:" is something wrong jacob, because that's what is seems like ."

jacob:" no i just wanna spend, time with my child ." i sighed running my hand through my hair

craig:" jacob what's the problem seriously, and don't lie to me i've known for 22 years ."

jacob:" everything is wrong craig, it's like when i try to separate myself from the situation here he comes out of the fucking wood works like craig you don't know my reaction was when i seen him in the driveway a few days prior, it's like when im finally at peace here he is and im trying hard not to breakdown because of carmen she's the only reason ." i said wiping my tears

craig:" i understand jacob, but the road your taking isn't going to help the situation selling your body your my friend and i love you but if you keep doing the things your doing you won't make it to carmen's 10th birthday and she's only 3 ." he said rubbing my shoulder

jacob:" you know im not dependent on others and it was only for carmen'a medical expenses but i guess since, i felt that the way those men had touched I could maybe forget about him ." i said sniffing

craig:" jacob your going to be fine, i think you actual love him ."

jacob:" of course i did craig, I was 16 when i gave myself to him I was dumb ."

craig:" well i know how bad you might not wanna talk to him, but you need too for the sake of carmen ."

jacob:" I'll talk too him, but i don't wanna tell carmen he's her father yet ."

craig:" you don't have to right away, whenever your ready jake is fine ."

i just hope im not setting myself up for failure .
