Lilly's POV

I hate the smell of being in a cell. It's absolutely revolting. Not to mention the different odors from the wolves who were already down here.

My cell was near the door, but that meant I was cell mates with a rouge who was looking at me with a smile.

From what I could tell we were underground, I couldn't see a single window. There were small lamps that were posted against the walls, giving little to no light.

As I was looking at my surroundings, there were a lot more cells down from mine. The silver bars glinted, casting shadows on the concrete walls.

It's been almost thirty minutes after he left me here.I passed the time by yelling for him to come back. That I wasn't supposed to be caged, and how much of a rude host he was being.

Unfortunately, luck was not on my side.

After me pacing and yelling out curses, I sat on the ground. My legs were crossed, and my arms were in between them. Mainly to use the shirt as a blocker.

"You're a pretty thing. Tell me, why are you down here?" A voice made me snap my head to my left.

I looked at the Male rouge who was still smiling, but his whole body was now facing me. His hair was disheveled and past his ears, showing exactly how long he's been in here. His grey eyes were now dull, and he looked hunched over, even if he was standing. He looked to be in his early thirties.

The scars that littered his arms and legs stood out against his skin, with better look, he was starving. Looking away from him I didn't answer.

"Tsk, you won't talk? Well that's sad, we don't meet somone new that often let alone a pack member." He sneered the last part.

Before I knew it, I was on my feet. I stood close enough to the silver bars to have them glow. I growled, "You know nothing. I suggest you talk to someone else."

He chuckled. He placed a hand on his knee as he pushed himself to stand. The hunch was there. He walked closer to the bars. As he walked the silver glowed brighter and brighter. It stopped when he put both hands on the bars.

He didn't even wince or show he was in pain when his skin was sizzling. He showed me a full crooked tooth smile.

"That's where you're wrong darling, I know many things and because of that I'm stuck down here." He moved his hands and went to go lean against the brick wall.

Giving him one last look, I walked back to my original spot. Right in the middle of my cell. I sat back down with a huff.

"What am I supposed to do down here anyway?" I asked out loud.

The rouge laughed. "We do nothing but wait. Some sleep, some play sticks, others pray."

Sticks? Praying? Rouges still pray?

The rouge chuckled. Not realizing I said that last part out loud, he already beat me to it.

"Indeed, although it's the ones who escaped their packs for a better life. Sometimes you can hear them murmur." He closed his eyes and leaned his head against the wall.

I frowned. A small emotion started to bloom from my stomach. What is this that I'm feeling? I'm not supposed to show compassion for rogues, they are the ones who chose this life.

I put my hands over my stomach, changing the topic I asked, "How do you play sticks?"

He opened one eye and looked at me. He groaned before sitting up." That I can not explain, because I still don't understand the rules of the game."
