2010-Stevie
It's happening, I'm making another album. I've officially started recording a new album with Dave Stewert as my producer. I've officially moved into the Pacific Palasides place with Sulamith, I left Mana with Lindsey. She doesn't do well with a lot of noise and chaos.
It's crazy different and as much as I like it, I don't. Lindsey called earlier because Emmeline got out of the pool and she had broken out into a rash. He put some medicine on it and iced and did what any normal person does with a rash but twenty-four hours later she woke up and she rubbed between her fingers raw in her sleep. He took her to the doctor and it turns out she's allergic to Chlorine. So, we have to drain our home pool and Emmeline has to stop swimming competitively. Like her father, she loves the water and she must be so devastated. I'm an hour away and I can't be there for her. Yet, there aren't any distractions. I do feel bad though because we left Emmeline with Sara and Nick and Lindsey and I were down here for two days. I made him rearrange everything. We're filming it and it's going to be so odd.
Working with Dave is so much easier and way more fun than working with Lindsey. I love my husband, I do but I hate working with him. However, it's been about two months and I've hit a breaking point.
My son was a soldier, and after I went to Walter Reed the first time, I went back several times and I wrote a song about it called Soldier's Angel.
"Dave, I just don't like it. It sounds too brutal, too dark." I complain.
"Well, what do you want to do?" Dave questions
"I don't know...this song has to be on the album, but I just don't know." I shake my head.
"Stevie, why don't you call Lindsey," Whaddy says breaking into the conversation.
"Lindsey! We've got to call Lindsey." I state slamming my hands on my lap.
"If you want to call Lindsey, go call him." Dave nods, so I do.
"Hey Angel, how's recording." He asks.
"It's...I need your help." I sigh in defeat.
"With what?" He questions.
"A song, I wrote kind of about Mason. I don't think I can do this song without you. If I send you the demo can you come out here?" I ask.
"Of course. But I thought you wanted to keep Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks separate." He chuckles.
"Please?" I ask.
"Sure, I'll come down this weekend. Do you want me to bring Emmy?"
"Yes Please!" I smile.
"Alright, see you in a couple of days." He hangs up.
"Is he coming?" Dave asks.
"He'll be here this weekend and he's bringing my baby." I cheer.
"He's bringing Emmeline, maybe I'll have Chris bring Jessie by." Lori states.
"She'd love that." I smile.

Thursday came and Dave and I were working in the living room when we hear feet running into the room. We pause and the next thing I know two arms wrap around my neck.
"Hello my Dove, did daddy pull you out of school early?" I ask checking my watch.
"No, it was a half-day. Parent-teacher conferences." Emmeline explains.
"I'm so sorry I missed them," I say hugging her properly.
"It's okay, I went. Straight A student, excels in English, nothing out of the ordinary." Lindsey says walking in Guitar case in hand.
