"Alright, ready to go?" Shawn asked as he entered the kitchen.

I sat on the floor behind the island, placing food and water into all the dog bowls.

"Elle?" Shawn called out.

"Down here." I giggled kicking my leg up.

"Cats would've been much easier." I groaned as I got up and brushed off my outfit.

I heard Shawn snort as I watched his tall figure walk over.

"Damn baby, we're just going out for drinks." Shawn licked his lips, moving around the island.

I blushed slightly pulling my jean jacket tightly over my exposed chest.

I felt him enter my personal space causing the corner of my lips to curve.

I placed my hand on his chest before he could move in any closer.

"Geoff said no later than 8." I hummed reaching for my white handbag.

I opened the small bag and made sure my things were together. I pulled out a small bottle of perfume.

I felt Shawn's hot breath on my neck as he stood behind me as I sprayed the perfume onto my wrists.

I pushed his head away, "We will get there at 8."

"You're no fun." He pouted grabbing his keys.

"Give me an hour." I shot back, spritzing the perfume in his face.

He winced, wiping the mist off of his face.

"No no no. I thought we agreed on drinking light tonight." He folded his arms.

I rolled my eyes and shoved the perfume back in my handbag

"Can you bring those to the puppy's pen?" I asked as I pushed around a few bowls with my foot.

He nodded, "I'll meet you at the car." Before flipping his keys in my direction.

I caught them with my right hand, moving into the living room and slipping my heels on.

Already measuring in at 5'10 left me just under Shawn's height in heels but its never bothered us.

I looked down at the silver watch on my wrist as it read 7:32.

I looked up into the mirror by the elevator, fixing the part in my hair and running my hands through the loose curls.

I waited for the doors of the elevator to open before stepping in and soaking in the many lights throughout the city as the sun set into darkness.

As I submerged into the grand lobby of our complex I noticed many stares from both residents and employees.

I blushed lightly at the sudden attention, looking down at my feet as I walked across the marble floor.

The common bustle in the area had dulled down creating a dramatic effect as my heels clicked along the floor.

I took a deep breath before walking towards the exit to the parking garage.

"Have a good evening Mrs. Alvaro." The doorman nodded as he held open the tall glass door.

"You as well." I smiled up at him.

I looked back down at my feet as I began walking through the parking garage.
