Chapter Three: The Hoard

Kay Lee yawned, she woke up to hear Tank barking.... and things growling outside of the house. "Guys! Wake up! Zombies are here!" Kay Lee yelled and got off the couch. She watched as Kora and Dakota jump up and out of their chairs. Kay Lee looked around the house for a weapon, then found a sword up on a wall. She took it down carefully, then ran back downstairs. "Their all around the house! It's a hoard!" Dakota screamed. "I found a sword! We need to kill them!" Kay Lee said. Dakota nodded, "Kora, go into the bedroom upstairs and lock the door." Kora nodded cautiously, then ran upstairs. Dakota got the metal baseball-bat and readied herself. With sword in hand, Kay Lee opened the door and backed up. 

Zombies poured into the house, and with all their might they bashed in heads, or slices them off. There was so many, TOO many. Kay Lee and Dakota fought and killed more than 30 Zombies. They killed and killed until at last, covered in the grey blood of the cannibalistic creatures, they dropped to the ground on their knees, gasping for air.

They sat their for 30 minutes till they went upstairs and knocked on the bedroom door. Kora opened the door and put her arms around Kay Lee's neck, wrapping her into a hug, and after a few minutes Kay Lee hugged her back. 

When everybody was all calmed down, Dakota pulled Kay Lee to the side to talk for a second. "Kay Lee I need to tell you something." Dakota said, grabbing both of Kay Lee's hands. "Okay.." Kay Lee said with a smile. "This is really hard to say... Kay, I like you... I really like you.." Dakota said awkwardly. "What do you mean?" Kay Lee said. "Maybe I should just show you." Dakota said, Kay Lee giving her a confused look. Within a second Dakota leaned in and kissed Kay Lee on the lips passionately. After a minute Kay Lee kissed her back. 

A few hours later they left the house and started their way to another town, Kay Lee and Dakota hand-in-hand.
