it was 10:30 am and mackenzie had just woken up. the brunette yawned ans squinted at the beams of light that shone through her open curtains. as she slowly rolled her body over to check the time. realising that she had to leave her house in 20 minutes in order to get to cold rock on time, the girl abruptly shot up and hopped out of her warm bed. there wasnt any point in her eating breakfast if she was going out for ice-cream not long after so instead she headed straight to her wardrobe.
first, the brunette picked out a pair of red bikinis that were very flattering on her skin tone and body type and a flowly sundress to throw on over the top. mackenzie rushed into the bathroom and quickly brushed her teeth and tied her hair in a low ponytail with a couple of lose strands left infront of her face.
the brunette packed a day bag with her wallet, a towel, sunscreen, her sunglasses and a hat to protect her head from the burning sun. before mackenzie left her room, she went over to her window that over looked johnny's bedroom.
the blinds were opened up and a very frantic looking boy was seen rushing around his room, probably looking for his phone. his messy head looked up and glanced at his window, seeing a very amused mackenzie staring at him. He sighed and frantically waved at her with a dorky grin before returning on a search through his messy room.
as she made her way downstairs, the memories of all the nights that the two teens used to stay up until 3am talking about the most randomest things came into her head. as the brunette reached her hand out for the silver door knob to the front door, she let out a deep breath that she didn't know she had as she thought 'i just wish even for just one night, that things were the same again'
as for johnny, he was frantically searching around the avalanch in his room for his matching friendship bracelet that mackenzie gave him on his 10th birthday. he never went anywhere without it and he especially didn't want to go without it today.
"lauren, have you seen my red bracelet?" his voice echoed throughout the almost empty house. "no, i havent dipshit, check the bathroom for your girlfriends bracelet you probably left it there. hurry up we're running late!" the blonde girl teased from down the stairs as she waited impatiently for her brother.
the dirty blonde ran over to his bathroom and as his sister suggested, his bracelet was sitting next to the sink waiting for him. he grabbed it and slipped it over his wrist with ease as he sprinted down the stairs to meet his sister.
