Mackenzies pov: I step out of the water running towards the towels as the summer breeze makes me a little cold. Almost everyone was in the water except for annie who was reading a magazine and tanning. I lay down next to her and grab some doritos and a bottle of water. "how's johnny been?" she asks with a hidden smile on her face not looking up from her magazine.
"oh my god annie!" i slap her arm forcing her to look up at me. "uh ow!" she says lowering her sunnies. She places the magazine down and sits up facing me. "oh come on kenzie, don't act like you don't see the way he looks at you" she says wiggling her eyebrows, digging her hand into the bag of chips.
i giggle at her comment. "that's because i'm his best friend" i say opening the cap of my water. "call it what you want but he hasn't taken his eyes off you all day" i almost choke on my water. Annie nods her head towards the water where none other than the emerald eyes boy stood, shirtless with water glistening off him like a scene in a cliche movie.
"Whatever doesn't mean anything" i say eating another dorito. "Well he's coming over so you better inform us tonight what happens" She says getting up and winking at me. She whispers something like 'you go get her' to johnny which makes me choke on my water once more.
He bursts out laughing but then comes over to me patting my back. "Are you okay?" he asks still laughing. "I would be better if you would stop laughing at me" i say punching his muscular arm.
His emerald green eyes stare into mine as the sound of the crashing waves makes it seem like there's no one around. "So" he says breaking the silence "why are you here alone?" he asks attempting to take one of my chips. "hey!" i complain smacking his hand away from the bag.
he laughs, managing to eat one. "anyway, i was getting a bit bored" i say looking down at my lap. "hmm, well that can't happen!" he says with a playful smirk on his face. what's he planning? i think as he is still smiling. Before i knew it his hands were on my stomach tickling me. I scream "j-j-johnny STOP" i manage to blur out inbetween giggles.
Everyone looks over but he doesn't stop. The gang moves out of the water to see what's going on. "MY CHILDREN" hayden screams running over to us. Hayden is like the mom of the group kind of like how in Stranger Things, Steve is the mom of the group.
Hayden and i have always been close, probably closer than Johnny and I but that's because we became close after the orlando's went for a summer holiday a couple years ago. Hayden knows all of my secrets and knows me better then i know myself and don't even get me started on how big or a jenzie supporter he is.

"I'm bored" ruby huffed as she flopped on lauren's bed. "Lets go see if the guys wanna watch a movie" annie suggests. "I'll go and ask since I wanted to get some snacks anyway" i offer rolling off lauren's bed. I step outside her room making my way down the staircase and into the kitchen.
A soft murmur of two familiar voices becomes clearer as i slowly and very quietly tip toe towards the kitchen. "I don't know man, i'm not getting the same vibe off her." hiding behind the wall i peep over to see hayden and johnny talking in the kitchen. "trust on this one brother" hayden replies.
what are they talking about? "i don't know man, she's my best friend. She makes it obvious that she doesn't want anything more" that's when it hits me. They're talking about me!!
I know it's wrong to eavesdrop and urge to creep back upstairs is pretty strong but my nosy ass wants to hear the tea. "You'd be surprised" Hayden says wiggling his eyebrows and giving john a pat on the back.
My phone dings as fricken loudly as it possibly could be and i freeze and tense up. why? why? Footsteps approach and hayden puts his head around the corner with the confused look on his face. His expression changes as soon as he realises it's me.
"Oh hey kenzie, how long have you been here?" he asks as i follow him into the kitchen. "I just got here to get some doritos, but it sounded pretty serious so i can come back" I say slowly walking backwards. "No it's fine johnny and I were just heading back up" He says nodding his head to signal johnny to get out.
Johnny winks and they both leave the kitchen. I pick up my phone.

I switch off my phone and head into the pantry to grab some doritos. Stepping away from the pantry i see a figure in the darkness and jump in fear. "hayden what the fuck?" i say a bit breathless. He makes his way over to me with a sly look on his face.
"how much did you hear eavesdropper" He says friendly punching my arm. "hm what? me? no, nothing." i say acting dumb. He rolls his eyes. "come on i know you heard something. Whatever you heard, you can't say anything because it was SUPPOSED to be confidential" he says trying to grab a dorito. I pull the bag away and walk around him. "hmm we will have to see about that" i wink at him and walk off.
