m a c k e n z i e: It's currently 4pm on a saturday and i've been dancing around in my room whilst blasting music off my speaker for the last hour.
since my mom is out of town for the week it's just my sister maddie and i but she is always around with her boyfriend so i'm alone most of the time.
there's a knock on my door and i pause the music. "come in!" i call out as i tie back my hair.
it was maddie. "hey kenz i'm going to jacks for a bit so i'll be home around dinner is that ok?" she asks coming into my room and sitting down on my bed.
i nod my head, "yeah that's fine, hayden's having a party later on tonight so we can hang out before then." i say taking a seat next to her.
maddie and i have always been super close but because she is away a lot on business, we don't get to spend a lot of time with each other so we make do with what we've got.
jack and maddie have a long distance relationship and so whenever he is in the US, they always spend time together which is fine because i like jack.
"sounds fun, don't be home past 3am and stay safe." she says tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. i smile and embrace her into a tight hug.
We let go of each other's hold and she pokes me on the nose. I scrunch up my face and we botch laugh as she makes her way out of my room.
i make my way back over to the speaker and press play but lower the volume of the music and flop down on my bed. I reach out for my phone and open snap so i can send my streaks.
