Zoo day

{ Angst (I thought the song would fit the chapter) }

Yoongi's recovery didn't take much time after Jimin started helping him, it was already two months ago that he had his surgery and Yoongi was able to do everything he wanted again. At this very moment he was promising Jimin to finally bring him to the zoo.

"Yoonie, Yoonie! Look!"
The excited boy points towards a big silverback-gorilla and wiggles himself out of the elder's grip.

"Sure, run off in a mass crowd with people that can hurt you, totally not a problem."
Yoongi runs after him, hearing the slight chuckle leaving Namjoon's lips when he pats Hoseok's head for staying close to him.

"Jiminie! You can't run off like that baby.."
Yoongi hugs the boy's waist, but he just stands still, eyes glistening and breathing low.
"Jimin?"
Yoongi looks up, trying to look at where the boy is looking at. A soft sob leaves his lips when he tries to crawl into Yoongi's body to seek for comfort.

"Hi there, Jimin."
A tall man with dark hair, black eyes and black clothes stands in front of the window, waiting for his, Yoongi assumes, wife and daughter to stop looking at the animals.

A loud yell snaps Yoongi out of his trance, who is this man and how does he know Jimin.
"Yoongi get out of there!"
Jin pulls Yoongi backwards, shielding the two boys behind his back.
"How dare you talk to Jimin?!"
Jin walks towards the male, the scariest expression on his face, Yoongi's known the male for a long time but never saw his best friend this angry.

"Who's that?"
Jimin sobs into Yoongi's white shirt while the elder whispers to Namjoon. Namjoon clears his troat and looks at Jimin, hoping that the elder would catch the hint.
"Is he-"
Something snapped in Yoongi's brain, he hands the younger to Namjoon and pushes Jin to the side, his right fist connecting with the man's face while blood covers Yoongi's knuckles.

"And that's what you get for hurting my baby."
Fire oozes out of his eyes, glaring at the female and daughter in the corner of the small building they're in.
"So you're Jiminie's replacement, aren't you."
The girl sheds a single tear, the security shows up right in time to take the man and Yoongi with them. Yoongi's eyes widen when the female mouths 'thank you' to him, a soft gaze taking his angry one away, his eyebrows furrow in confusion but he decides to nod his head.

"I'm sorry okay?"
He looks at the security guy with a bored expression.

"Don't be. Some bystanders called us before you arrived, the male you attacked had roughly handled her and her daughter half an hour before in the aquarium, we've been searching the whole park before we heard screaming due to your punch sir."
Yoongi internally smiles, knowing that it wasn't good what he did but he helped someone. God knows what would've happened in their house.
"The woman is actually waiting outside to thank you."
Yoongi nods and stand up, leaving with a warning from the police.

"Come here bub."
Yoongi opens his arms when he steps through the door, the force of Jimin running into his embrace almost knocks them over. Soft sobbing into his shirt makes Yoongi's expression soften and slide down the wall to sit on the ground and hug the younger tightly before his eyes connects with certain brown ones.

"Thank you."
The woman walks up to him, handing him a teddy bear and a gift-card she bought in one of the souvenir shops.
"I don't have much to give but i hope this is enough to show my gratitude."
Yoongi takes the bear from the woman and hands it to Jimin, making him smile softly.

"What about spending the rest of the day with us and after get some coffee at our place?"
The woman nods and takes the giftcard back, handing it to her 14 year old daughter to buy something in the gift shop.
"Jin-hyung.."

"I was already on it, we'll be right back."
The eldest stands up and walks away hand in hand with the girl.

Jimin, Hoseok and Nayeon were playing on the huge playground the zoo has while Yoongi and the mother if Nayeon, Suran, are talking about the previous events.
"We're going to check on them."
Namjoon stands up and walks towards the other three.

"I'm sorry for saying what i said. I was angry about the past-"

"It's okay, Yoongi, really."
He smiles softly, slightly scoffing.

"No it is not. I attacked you two without knowing your story. I was only thinking about Jimin."
His gaze wanders over the the playing little, a wide smile on his face, his cheeks slightly tinted and eyes turning into crescents. Truly adorable.

"And i get that, i've heard some thing about him from Dojung, i heard that Jimin is his biological child."

"He was. He isn't his child anymore, Jimin doesn't deserve that."
Yoongi fidgets with the fabric of his shirt, not caring about the stained patches on the white fabric due to Jimin's crying.
"I just hope that he didn't do anything like that to you two."
Suran smiles sadly, a wide smile takes place when she sees Nayeon and Jimin running up to them.

"Hey bub."
Yoongi kisses Jimin's temple, making him giggle loudly.

"Yoonie no~!"
He smiles widely at him and pecks him softly on the lips before crawling on his lap, legs on both sides of Yoongi's waist while his head rests on Yoongi's chest. The elder softly strokes his hair and leans his chin on his head.

Suran and Jin carry their bags while Yoongi carries Jimin, Namjoon Nayeon and holds hands with Hoseok while making their way back to the cars. Namjoon softly places the girl into Suran's car and buckles her belt.
"Thanks for the fun day, Suran. Too bad we had to meet like this."

Jin and Namjoon wave at them, guiding Hoseok to the car and driving off.

"Just follow my car, we don't live that far."
Suran nods and stars the engine, following Yoongi's black Renault while keeping contact through their devices so they wouldn't strand somewhere if a car came between the two of them.

Yoongi unlocks the front door, placing Jimin on one of the couches and covering him with a blanket.
"Shall i lay her in Jimin's bed? He doesn't sleep in it anymore.."
She thanks him and walks upstairs with the male to tuck her in.

"Thank you so much, Yoongi. I can't say it enough."
Yoongi smiles softly and hands her a cup of tea.

"It's okay, really. I'm glad that i could help."
Yoongi sips on his own tea and places it back down on the table.

"Nayeon and i... have been treated badly by him for years but i was too blinded by his nice appearance and soft personality from when i first met him.

"Yoongi?"
Jimin's soft voice snaps Yoongi's head towards him.
"Who's this?"

"Don't you remember what happened?"
Yoongi takes the boy's hands in his and seats him on his lap, his head shaking no.
"Hmm.. you regressed that far huh."
Jimin blushes softly, not remembering a single thing from what occurred that day.

"I'm sorry.. was it something nice?"
Yoongi shakes his head softly.

"I met your dad today babe."

Oof this sucked
