Once upon time, there was a girl named Amber. She was known for her stunning villainous looks and her voluminous auburn hair color. She was also the daughter of Persephone and Hades, the god and goddess of the underworld. She was the goddess of the darkness. She was beloved by everyone in the underworld, but she didn't have any friends except for this manipulative little green creature named Jeal. Amber had everything a girl could ever want and need but one thing: love. She wanted to be in love and be somebody’s wife. She once heard of her father’s berserk story of winning over her mother and she decided she also would find her true love. She looked into a magical mirror and found this handsome prince named Maleak on the surface. She rushed off to her parents and demanded to be taken to the surface the following day. The next day, she was taken to the castle where the prince stayed. They introduced themselves to each other and spent a wonderful day together. Days passed without a word from the prince and Amber got worried. She looked into her magical mirror, only to see her prince getting cozy with another girl. This girl wasn't a Plain Jane; she was a radiant, stunning girl with blond silky hair. Amber backed away from the mirror with her hand covering her mouth as Jeal appeared, angered.
“How dare that girl come and try to take what is yours!” yelled Jeal.
“You don't know what you are talking about Jeal,” replied Amber. “This is a mistake!”
“This isn't a mistake, Amber,” added Jeal. “She is way more beautiful than you. Look at the girl!”
Jeal pulled Amber by her gothic red dress to the mirror.
“Don't you want revenge on this girl,” teased Jeal “You know you want to. Look at her flawless hair. You should cut it! You should make her pay for this!”
Convinced, Amber began to plot against this mystery girl as well as enjoy her time with  Prince Maleak. Amber slowly but surely became a trusted friend of the mystery girl, who she soon learned was named Esperanza. Amber even began to enjoy the time she spent with Esperanza, much to the disapproval of Jeal. After about two months, Jeal pulled Amber aside to ask what was taking her so long to get her revenge on Esperanza.
“I don't want to get revenge on her now, Jeal,” said Amber. “She didn't do anything!”
Jeal laughed and dragged Amber to the mirror where something new was being shown. There was Esperanza and Prince Maleak engaging in a conversation. The prince pulled a ring out before Esperanza. Before any more could be seen, a large dark hand came out and squeezed the mirror until it was liquid. Amber began tearing up and went to sit down. Jeal jumped on the table to taunt Amber.
“What’s wrong? It’s okay because you forgave her like a coward! I told you she was prettier than you. She is better than you and will always win. You know what you must do, so just do it already! As long as she is still perfect, you are nothing and will never find love,” taunted Jeal, who was playing with Amber’s hair. Amber snapped and let out a loud, vicious scream that opened a big portal in her room. Amber then told Jeal to cover the portal until she got back from her trip.
Two hours went by before Amber returned, bringing Maleak and Esperanza. She returned to her room with a very chatty Esperanza. Amber, now furious with Esperanza, pushed Esperanza into the portal only to be caught by Prince Maleak. An argument started and Amber forced Prince Maleak in the portal. Jeal started clapping and laughing with approval until everything started shaking and a crack formed on the ceiling. Zeus bust through the ceiling and began criticizing Jeal and Amber.
"You two are in so much trouble. I have been watching both of you idiots. Jeal, since you insist on trying to live your life through my granddaughter, you can do it for everyone else too! You are beneath everyone including the mortals so you will be under their feet, following them everywhere they go. And since you couldn't use your own brain Amber, you will be brought to the surface to help the mortals decide what is good within themselves." With that, Zeus snapped his fingers.
Amber and Jeal’s bodies began fading out of reality and head for a model of a mortal. Amber’s ghost went into the head of the model. Jeal became a gloomy cloud and slipped on under the model’s feet.
So now every time you even think about doing something bad, Amber is always inside you telling you that whatever you are thinking about is not right while her pal Jeal is below your feet as your shadow.
