Chapter 18- Beach Trip

Star opened her eyes, the sun was just starting to rise and its rays were shining through the thin curtains. She turned onto her back and glanced beside her, Marco was still asleep with her, she smiled at the sight and grabbed her phone. It had just turned 7 am. She sent a quick message to Jackie:
Star: Are you awake?
While she waited for a reply, she stood up and pulled on an oversized hoodie and shorts, while hoping Marco wouldn't wake up while she was getting changed.
Jackie replied after she had finished getting changed.
Jackie: Yeah, what's up?
Star: Can I come over?
Jackie: Sure.
Star brushed her blonde hair and left it down, the ends reaching just above her hips. She took one last look at Marco before quietly closing the door and making her way down the hallway to Jackie's room. Everything was extremely quiet, due to it being so early in the morning.
She finally made it to Jackies room and knocked on the door, Jackie opened it and quietly greeted her, inviting her inside.
Jackie looked like she had just woken up and was still in her pyjamas, she grabbed a half-drunken cup of coffee from her dresser and took a sip, before placing it down again.
"I brought your stuff, where shall I put them?"
"Just put them on the chair over there," Jackie pointed to the chair nearest to the window.
"Thanks for letting me borrow them," Star said as she placed the clothes on the chair.
"Don't worry about it, how did it go?"
"It went great!"
"You kissed him didn't you?" Jackie smirked.
"How do you know?" Star raised her eyebrow before walking closer to Jackie.
"You're blushing like crazy," Jackie giggled.
Star turned away from Jackie and tried to cover her cheeks, she could feel them heating up now.
"Are you doing anything today?" Jackie asked while draining the rest of her coffee and throwing the cup into the sink.
"I don't think so, why?" Star asked curiously.
"I was going to ask you if you wanted to come to the beach with me and Janna," Jackie pulled her hair out of the low pony-tail it was in.
"Sure, I'll come," Star hesitated for a second, before asking, "can I bring Marco?"
Jackie rolled her eyes, "I was waiting for you to ask me that, of course you can."
"Thanks, I'll go back to our room and tell him," Star headed for the door, "thanks again, Jackie!"
"No problem, I'll see you later, message me when you're ready," she winked and closed the door after Star had left.

Star returned to her room and unlocked the door, Marco was still sleeping soundly, snoring gently.
Star opened her wardrobe and pulled out a black bikini, the top had straps which crossed at the back. The bottom we're just plain black. She headed into the bathroom and pulled the bikini on underneath her clothes before getting dressed again. Once she entered the room, Marco was just beginning to shuffle, she walked over to him and gently shook his shoulders while whispering his name.
"S-Star?" He said quietly while opening his eyes and yawning loudly.
Marco sat up and looked at Star, "how long have you been awake?"
"About an hour, I went to Jackie's and she wants us to go to the beach with her and Janna later."
"Yeah, I'll come with you," Marco stood up and went into the bathroom, Star heard the shower turn on and she sighed.
Star sat on the bed and played with her phone until he left the shower, he came out with a towel wrapped around his waist, he grabbed some clothes out of his wardrobe along with swimming shorts and went to change inside the bathroom.
"When are we going?" he said as he came out of the bathroom. now fully clothed.
"After breakfast, shall we get some now?"
"Sure."
