Request: "cute girl flirts with robin at work and she freaks out while Steve laughs at her"
I had a lot of fun writing this. Hope you all enjoy and remember to request!
-----------------
It was a stormy night in Hawkins, Indiana. While most people were at home with their families trying to stay warm and try, Steve and Robin were trying to fight off boredom at Family Video. They had finished the majority of their work, stacking, cleaning, and organizing, earlier in the day and they were trying to make it till the end of their shift.
Robin groaned as Steve missed catching popcorn in his mouth for what seemed like the thousandth time. Robin hopped off of the counter that she was sitting on and made her way over to the door.
Steve stopped throwing popcorn in the air and looked over to her. "What are you doing?"
"I'm closing up early dingus, what does it look like?" Robin said as she looked for the key on her key ring that matched the front door.
"There's like two more hours till closing. There's bound to be a few more customers." Steve said as he hopped over the counter.
Robin let out a soft chuckle. "There's been no customers all day Harrington. I know you want the chance to practice your flirting but I highly doubt any girls will make their way out in this weather."
Just as Steve was about to admit defeat, he noticed a girl running up to the door through the windows.Steve smirked at Robin.
"I swear that hair has some magical powers or something." Robin mumbled as she opened the door for the girl quickly making her way to the door. The mystery girl ran in soaking wet. Her hair was matted down and her clothes were darker due to the rain.
"Hi! Sorry, I hope you guys weren't closing or anything!" The girl had said with labored breath.
"No no, come in, I'll get you some dry clothes!" Steve said, running from into the back room.Robin couldn't help but notice how pretty the girl was, despite her disheveled appearance. Blue eyes, long blonde hair, and she was pretty toned, seeing her muscles because the wet clothes stuck to her body. She also looked fairly familiar, but Robin couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"Hey, aren't you that cute girl that used to work at Scoops Ahoy? I think we were in the same Chemistry class last year! Mr. Ross, fourth period right?" The girl had said, knocking Robin out of her thought process.Robin blushed softly. No one had ever called her cute before, except for Steve when he was confessing his love for her in the movie theater bathroom.
"Yeah, had to get a new job since the mall got destroyed." Robin had to think back to that class, but she nodded, finally able to remember the girl. She was Ashley Clarke. Ashley was one of the popular kids in their High School, but not because her parents were rich or anything, she had a personality everyone wanted to be around. She was honest, funny, and one of the smartest people in that place. It also didn't hurt that she was beautiful as well.
"Uh, yeah. It's Robin. Ashley right? Why are you hear?" Robin said, but realized it came off kind of bitchy. "I-I mean, like it's practically flooding out side. Why would you come out to Family Dollar of all places in the middle of a storm?" She said as she ran her hand through her shoulder length hair to try to act cool.
Ashley, to Robin's relief, laughed softly. "Yeah, you can call me Ash though." Ashley pulled out a VHS tale of Back To The Future and a punch card that both seemed to be amazingly dry. "My mom follows these punch cards closer than the law. She'd kill me if she didn't get her free movie rental."
