Casey Hartford wasn't normally the person to open up to others, and she has good reason for that. Every time she tried to open her heart, it got torn apart. The last time she did open her heart was for Tammy Thompson at junior prom. It only lead to the whole gymnasium making fun of her for being gay. She made a note to herself after that day, don't be gay in Hawkins Indiana. Casey still had a year of high school left, but after that she planned on leaving the state so she could be more open about who she was. That need for leaving Hawkins was the reason she started working at Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream shop.
Casey walked into work one day to find there was no one at the front desk. She groaned and walked into the back room to find Robin, Steve and a random kid who she didn't recognize.
"Didn't know we were getting paid to take naps in the back." Casey said lifting an eyebrow. The three turn around with a slight jump as Casey had managed to sneak up on them.
"The dingus and his kid intercepted a Russian secret message and are trying to decipher it. And I'm bored." Robin said smirking while holding up a Russian to English dictionary.
Casey couldn't help but be attracted to Robin, even in the stupid sailor uniform they were forced to wear. She think its the freckles that cause her to melt like the ice cream they sell. But Casey would never say anything to Robin though, not unless she was on her death bed.
Steve and the kid practically broke their neck when Robin told Casey what they were doing.
"Robin! How do you know we can trust her?" The kid asked.
"и кто ты такой?" Casey said smirking.
The three looked over super confused.
"I took Russian classes over the summer for some scholarship that fell through." Casey shrugged. "I said who are you?" She said pointing to the kid.
After the three spoke amongst themselves, the kid spoke up.
"Steve go scoop ice cream, Casey is in! I'm Dustin by the way, welcome to the Scoops Troop!" Dustin said with a wide smile that showed missing teeth.

Casey had managed to translate the tape in a few hours in and then Robin solved the riddle finding where the Russians were. Thats how two kids, Dustin and Erica, and the three scoop workers ended up at the bottom of the elevator shaft, trying to escape a giant steel elevator.
It was the middle of the night, Erika and Dustin were sleeping while the three teenagers tried to find an escape route.
Robin sighed as she sat down against one of the cold walls next to Casey who was sitting with her arms hugging her legs.
"You seem pretty stressed out, are you okay?" Robin asked, concern in her voice.
"Well we are kind of trapped in a Russian elevator and that we might die in. I've never even kissed a girl! I can't die yet. Plus if we get out of here alive, we will probably get fired. We did spend most of the past few days trying to find evil spies." Casey rambled out quickly.
Robin turned to her and blushed when she heard that she never kissed a girl. She had never heard of any other gay girl in Hawkins, let alone her crush. Robin always kinda had a crush on Casey. She was usually so quite and mysterious. It was something that was a guilty pleasure for Robin.
