"Tiffany was born under a shadow. That is to say that she was conceived from dark intentions, lived under dark intentions, and later chose for dark intentions."

"Could you clear up that sentence for me please?" An elder called from the back. A small chuckle reverberated around the room. Astrid and Jalayna stayed deathly silent, glaring at the room.

"You laugh, but everything I said was true. Tiffany was conceived from dark intentions. She came to exist when my uncle raped her mother. As you know, my uncle is a dark man himself, due to the curse that was placed upon my family. He was searching for the cure to that curse and succumbed to the insanity of it. Astrid and I fear that Tiffany was conceived purely for the fact of killing her to kill off a blood relative. Her mother escaped with her not long after though, seemingly before my uncle ever knew of his daughter's existence, which spared her."

"So she was born from evil for evil is what you are saying?" Someone asked.

"And yet maintained innocence because she was simply a child." Astrid said forcefully.

"Astrid, all is well and none here will think differently." Astrid bowed her head in acceptance of Jalayna's statement. Blaz noticed that Jalayna had taken the Alpha role of his sister while they were out.

"I'm sorry." Blaz wondered what caused the forcefulness in his sister's voice and the angry glare he had received from her.

"To continue with what I was saying, despite escaping my uncle, Tiffany was still raised in a household filled with dark intentions. Her father figure began to sexually assault the poor girl at a young age, moving from physical abuse to sexual. Her childhood was rough, and according to my sources, she was sold at the age of 16 to a witch."

"A witch?" whispered voices threw this around, as if witches were of the devil.

"I'm afraid so. Unfortunately, this was not the only time she was sold. She was chosen by my Uncle and side in the coming war. The god has recruited members for his little take over. No one is entirely certain how."

"Our guess is that a few key members are garnering slaves under the guise of freeing them which brings them to their side. This is showing the slaves that they are the correct cause. Those that never agree are kept as slaves for the cause." Astrid strode up to stand beside Jalayna, eyes burning with a fire that many hadn't seen before. Jalayna nodded and placed on hand on Astrids shoulder, as if restraining her.

"That's quite the supposition that you have." It was the former Luna who spoke up, her eyes on the girls.

"I'm afraid it's all we have at the moment. We don't have any proof, and we have no idea how Tiffany's life played out after that. The trail stops dead. It was a closed sale, so closed that the woman who sealed the deal is remaining extremely tight lipped about it. We think her life may have been threatened." Jay looked sympathetically at Ray, knowing he wanted more.

"I know you all seem skeptical, but it's the only thing we could think of that made sense. She has no family, and is well financed on her own." Astrid said as people started protesting.

"Are you sure there's no other way to get her to talk?" Ray asked.

"Let's not resort to that. And before you ask, there's no way to reach Tiffany either. She's well protected within the ranks. We're doing our best and we won't stop until we figure something out, but that's the best I can give you." Ray nodded and walked out of the room. Suzi made a move to follow her son, but was stopped by a shake of Jalayna's head. That was the look of a Luna, and Suzi couldn't help but smirk at the change in the girl.
